The lights work just as advertised.I had to drill out the holes in the plastic mounting plate in order to attach it to the box.Otherwise, very easy installation.Nice lighting for the price.

we wanted to like this light. we bought two. both were strobing within a month. we replaced one with the same light and it did the same. it conveniently stopped working after the amazon window closed. it has a longer manufacturers warranty but we had a hassle of a time trying to contact the actual company. don’t waste your money or time.

AIKVSXER Flush Mount Ceiling Light 12 Inch - LED Ceiling Light Fixture 3 Color Temperature Selectable by SwThe light itself is good. light and provide decent lighting to our laundry room. I don't think it is bright enough for a larger room. that is just my own opinion. the light fixture itself looks good and installed as close to the ceiling as possible. I did not use a dimmer. it is interesting to see the light sometimes changes color each time I turn on the light.The dimmer switch is not included. which is the reason I didn't install one.The I have is with the base plate for the installation. because this is to be installed flush to the ceiling. it leaves zero space for the internal cables at all. The top of the light also has an area that fist into the base, which clashes with the cable. I spent almost 30 minutes trying to make this work and it was really frustrating.My solution was to screw the base a little loose and put cardboard cutouts to create space between the wall and the baseplate. this way I can tuck the cables in that space. I really think this is a design flaw. how could you not account for cable space. I would have taken pictures but I am not taking it down again as it took me forever to get it on.... LOLI like the light. but I have to give this 3 stars. hoping that they will fix it. also hopefully help those who are looking to install this light can have a solution they can apply.

I was skeptical at best when I read that you change the softness of the light by "light-switch-flicking".But it actually works. Similar in nature to the old-fashioned way of changing an outdoor light from "motion activated" to "steady on", by rapidly switching the wall switch, you can adjust the "color" light softness of this light. Whatever degrees you leave it in, that's the starting point the next time it's turned on. Kinda cool -- instead of having to choose a particular softness when you install it, you can adjust the coolness on-the-go -- to match the mood you want to set.The installation is a bit difficult, but I kinda cheated. The base plate is plastic. so I heated it with a hair dryer, and bent it slightly so that the pieces that go into the light fixture were "droopy", allowing them to mate up with their counter part in the fixture while the fixture was just a bit lower from the ceiling. Then when I matched them up, and turned the fixture the 1/8th turn needed, that drew the fixture up tighter to the ceiling.Other than the installation, the other thing that was marginal in my opinion was how "plastic-y" this fixture feels. However, once it's in, that doesn't make any difference, as no one will ever feel the plastic-y-ness of it when it's on the ceiling. Having said that, it does put out a decent amount of light, with no heat at all, and the diffuser does a very good job of giving the whole room even lighting with no bright spots or shadows.Overall, it's a good light, with slight installation challenges, and a cool way to set the mood for the lighting it provides. So we'll go with a full 5-stars, knowing that it really is 4-1/2 stars rounded up for reporting here!

Stops working after two months. Replaced 2 times same thing happens , stops working .

I replaced an old 2 bulb fixture in the garage...you know the kind...with a big white glass cover and the bulbs pointing in opposite directions. I could easily put two 25 watt (or 25 watt equivalent LED/CFL's) bulbs in there, but 50 watts of light in a garage is never enough. When I put two 60 watt bulbs in there, they touched the glass, overheated, and burned out quickly - even the LED's did this! So, I was happy to see this product that could replace my old fixture. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the mounting bracket was not metal, but was high density plastic. Mixing metal and live wires has always been a concern to me, but I guess over 100 years of doing it that way, it must work out okay. Still, for me, if plastic mounting brackets can work, I like them. Installation was fairly simple, although my electric box required thinner mounting screws than what was included. Fortunately, I had plenty replacements on hand in my tool box. Flipping the power switch multiple times rotates through the different light colors. This is a nice feature, but of limited value to me in a garage where I just want bright. Knowing that it comes with options though is great and adds to the value and versatility of this light. It's certainly an improvement over that old fixture. I think the price is great for a product that is both fixture and light bulb and this is an excellent value.

They both start to flicker, then one color goes out (yellow first for me) then the whole unit turns into garbage and you get to reinstall something else all over !FUN!
