Love this thing for the price. I use coal for heavy forging, this one works great for smaller projects or when I'm heating multiple things at once

It makes my Knife heat treating much easier. I make custom knives with 1095 steel and this unit allow me to heat treat process quickly.

This forge works really well. Having doors on either end is a great convenience. Gets hot enough to forge weld. My only issue is that there is no inline gas control so you have to rely solely on the valve that connects at the gas cylinder. But so far it’s better than the two other gas forges I’ve tried.

This thing is surprisingly hot. We just played around forge welding some lawn mower blade metal. Did ok for our first try. The flames are intense so I'm curious how much propane we're going to burn through. Seems pretty well build. The insulation is fragile, not their fault. You just have to be careful.

I don't give many 5 star ratings on Amazon because I'm usually hard on items. But this was the first forge I ever bought and it's shockingly awesome. I've had it for 3 years and it continues to impress. As I'm sure all of the other reviews say, you absolutely MUST use refractory cement and cover the ceramic wool or it's a serious health hazard. I've had to skim coat this a few times over the years, but it remains solid. I would recommend removing the doors and placing standard fire brick on the sides instead. Otherwise, I'm looking at getting the 2 burner because I need more heat for forge welding. Seriously, buy it. Just use refractory cement.

This propane gas forge has both advantages and disadvantages, and I’d like to share them with you. Advantages: 1. It has doors that allow you to keep the furnace closed, thus rapidly increasing the temperature inside. 2. It is very light, which makes it easy to transport without getting tired. 3. It is small, allowing you to use it in confined spaces. (Avoid using it in enclosed spaces). Disadvantages: 1. Being very small, you cannot heat large metals. (If you want to temper large knives, you won’t be able to do it in this forge). 2. The forge is designed to work with small metals. (If you want to use this forge to temper knives, I would recommend small knives, such as Pettys or blade blanks. Also, knives with only a tang). 3. Keeping both furnace doors open results in significant heat loss, so I would only recommend having one door open. For blacksmithing and tempering knives of 12-15 inches, I would recommend a two-burner furnace. It’s a forge that, for the price, is almost not worth it. I prefer to spend a few more dollars on a two-burner forge rather than waste my money again on this gas forge.

I love it. Used to heat stock from 1x0.5x36 to forge a small sword. While I had to move the stock in and out to get an even heat due to the size, it worked really well, and heated the material fairly quickly too. Couldn't be happier.

Vraiment bien conçue, elle paraît réellement robuste, ce qui est surprenant vu le prix très abordable que j'ai payé. Ma forge est arrivée, la boîte ouverte, et les brûleurs étaient absents. Malheureusement, un remboursement n'est pas possible vu qu'il n'est pas retournable. Je vais donc devoir acheter ce qui aurait dû être inclus avec la forge. Je lui ai donné 3 étoiles, sinon j'aurais donné 5 étoiles, c'est une forge vraiment bien réalisée. Mise à jour !!! Je n'ai pas pu me faire remplacer ou rembourser par Amazon la forge où il manquait les 2 brûleurs, mais avec le vendeur ça a été vraiment très bien et professionnel et ils vont me renvoyer les pièces manquantes que je n'ai pas pu recevoir car la boîte à la réception était ouverte. Le service Amazon n'est vraiment pas bon, mais avec le vendeur un gros 100 %. Merci encore à ce vendeur qui a voulu m'aider 😊

Instructions indicated that on forge shutdown to remove the rubber hose Y to prevent damage from residual heat. I improved on that because restarting would mean handling hot parts. Applied sprayed on rigidizer, a great protector for the wool and improves efficiency. Another brick carefully cut would complete the floor.
