L'OccitaneOsmanthus Hand Cream 1.00 oz

I have a number of osmanthus trees on my property, it's a cornerstone fragrance of my life. This is a light, creamy silk lotion of the quality I expect from the brand but it has zero similarity to any osmanthus I have ever smelled. It's just a bland lotion smell. L'Occitane offers way better than this.

I have really loved L’Occitane products in the past. Past purchases have both preformed well and have smelled fantastic. Sadly, this hand lotion delivered a double whammy of neither performing well, nor smelling pleasant.I regularly moisturize my hands. Being wintertime where I live, my hands are a bit dry. Mine is not a severe case of dry hands, since I moisturize my hands daily. However, I have much more economical moisturizers that are vastly superior to this offering from L’Occitane. The product simply didn’t work as advertised.I appreciate the complexities involved with maintaining a product’s properties, while balancing any inherent scent from those ingredients, couples with an added fragrance. In this case L’Occitane would have been better off not releasing this product until they could achieve a much more pleasant product fragrance. This is not a case of my not caring for a certain floral scent, such as lilac. This particular scent was unrecognizable to me, which is not always a bad thing. The fragrance simply was unpleasant. Perhaps others care for it, as scent is very much a matter of personal opinion.I will purchase L’Occitane products in the future, but will limit my purchases to their products I’ve used in the past, or to those that I’m able to try in person.Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback on this purchase.

I don’t like scents

The inner wrap this arrived in had obviously been opened.

I do not recommend this scent. The brand is good overall.

This lotion moisturizes well but does not smell like osmanthus as much as I had hoped and has a more generic floral scent.
