It's not quite the dead soft quality I prefer, it's half hard, but it suits me for what I'm doing at times. I USED THIS TO RE STRING AN OUTSIDE WIND CHIME....WORKS BETTER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD :) .....I JUST LOVE HOW THE MAGENTA COLOR POPS AGAINST THE SILVER OF THE WIND CHIME...THIS WIRE IS VERY THIN...THINNER THAN I THOUGHT, BUT WORKED PERFECT FOR WHAT I NEEDED
