Excellent fire excellent make and model give a lovely fire affect if you want a small fire as back up One tiny thing that was a bother the lead is not long enough to the plug and according to the Internet you should never plug extension lead to a fire so I could not use it where I wanted to put it

Description of “what’s in the box” indicates that this lovely little heater comes with a remote control. It says so on the Dimplex website to. To my surprise I open the box and no remote control. Hence only 4 stars.

This is the second Dimplex electric stove I have bought. The microstove is not as powerful as my larger stove but I bought this size because it fits in in my smallish home. It is easy to move from room to room and I have been impressed with how much heat it throws out for a small stove. It is early days, as Winter has yet to arrive, but overall I am pleased with my purchase. It was good value for money. Easy to set up. Is a nice booster to central heating or just to take the chill off a room. It is an attractive, small fire. There is a degree of noise but I don't have a problem with that. I like having these heaters as back-up in case my central heating fails.

I've wanted one of these for a while but struggled to find one diddy enough to fit in my gap. This fits the bill, and is perfect. The flame effect is really cosy, and the heater is so effective; really warms my lounge. I'd normally have my central heating on by now but this has prevented me from having too. It was a bit more expensive than others I'd seen, but then I needed a more compact one. Plus, it's Dimplex, so a name you can trust. The noise level isn't bad; of course you can hear it but it's doesn't impact the TV or conversation etc. I'd recommend it. A couple of issues initially as the first one I received didn't work, but the replacement process is straight forward. However, the replacement didn't materialise; lost in transit apparently. Anyway, third time lucky and it was worth the wait.

Today is 8th January 2026, we bought this product on 2nd January 2025 and the heating element of the fire no longer works. it is guaranteed for one year so we are 6 days outside of it. (It stopped working before this but we didn't try to use it until the 8th. are we unlucky or is this a reflection of the product? Our previous Dimplex fire lasted well with occasional use but we will not be buying another one.
