I love it. It works perfectly, shielding my fob from interacting with the car, and I think it is better than the faraday pouches and good-looking too. The inner part of the box is soft-padded to ensure that your car fob doesn't get scratched. The size is good enough for my Honda jazz fob. One thing to note is that you may not be able to use a key holder with you car fob. It is good value for money. I'm impressed.

Did I just spend fourty quid on a box to keep keys in? Yep, sure did. This is expensive, but it has a reason for that. You want something to protect your keys from the low life that steal cars. Not a flimsy bag that you have to check all the time but a rugged and solid piece of kit, well this is it. Well finished in black, I would see it looking “used” after a while but that will not be a problem. The key fits nicely and the velvety liner keeps everything quiet and scratch free. Vonetti don’t actually do themselves a favour when they say they developed a “massive box” it’s not massive, it’s just big enough to hold one key and fits in a pocket without any trouble. Oh yes, it does work, strange somebody found a problem. Finally I would say, if you like nice things you will love this and know that nice things cost more. Go on treat yourself! Update: 5 years in this still looks new. Great product that actually works and is well made enough to last the course. I expect to change cars more often than I change this box. A rarely great product.

I bought 2 of these for my car to replace countless fabric Faraday pouches (even "premium ones") that work for a couple months or so before becoming useless. I have been using these for coming up to a year now with no issue. Pros: Good quality of manufacture. Effective Faraday cage. Car will not open when placed right next to door handle. Box can easily fit into a pocket. Cons: You can only fit the car key & key ring into the box but no other keys will fit. I have a silicone casing over my keys. The price is a bit much but you are getting what you are paying for and putting it into the context of not having to continuously replace fabric pouches it's not that bad. Would have been nice if it was a little bigger to also fit a single key ring accessory.

I rarely leave reviews on Amazon but felt compelled to do so on this occasion as car security has become more of an issue as thieves are increasingly using relay technology to steal keyless entry cars. This is a superb product that works exactly as advertised and has given me real peace of mind. In fact after buying the first one, I bought a second one for my spare key. Once in the case it completely blocks the key signal. Even holding the case against the car didn’t allow me to gain access. I also tested it by putting the key in the case whilst sat in the car, and it immediately blocked the signal and I was unable to start. As a bonus it also looks quite nice. One downside is that it is quite big. It is slightly smaller than a credit card but fat. This makes it a little tricky if you want to carry it around in your trouser pocket. As mentioned above, I need to take it out of the case in order to open and start my car which can be a bit of pain if your hands are full. However given the protection it offers this is a small price to pay. It is also worth mentioning that I purchased a very similar item from a different manufacturer and not only did not work, my key struggled to fit and the outer dimensions were even larger. My key is for a VW Golf and fits with room to spare. So if you have bigger key it should fit.

Ordered a few different soft pouch’s first to protect keys but on receiving they all looked like they would not last very long and would not sit comfy in pockets, so look the chance and ordered this metal one, I know it’s more expensive but on receiving was pleased to see something which looks like it should last a very long time, well made and sturdy it looks good also and have had many people ask where I have got it from, works very well at protecting the fob. Yes I can only fit the car remote and the stop lock key inside together but that is all that is needed to be protected really, and it’s small enough to fit inside of front trouser pockets. So pleased I ordered a second one for my husbands car fob. Would definitely recommend, like they say you get what you pay for many times and this is one of those times as should last a long time unlike the soft pouch ones which would need replacing every couple of months, so this would pay for itself very quickly and give you peace of mind that your car is a bit more safer.

Ordered this key tin for my keyless car after trying faraday pouches that did not last very long (2 pouches failed in less than 3 months!) I have tested this tin and it does indeed block the signal on my Suzuki Swift Sport, and the key fits perfectly (just the key without any keyrings) and since this tin is a solid construction I am hoping it will last longer than the pouches it is replacing... I will update in time! I recommend over the pouches!!!!! 3 MONTH UPDATE: This tin is still working 100% even after dropping it a few times and scratching it up a little! I have managed to squeeze it into one of the faraday pouches for a bit of extra protection to the tin with my clumsiness and it hides the scratches! BUY ONE OF THESE IF YOU HAVE A KEYLESS VEHICLE 5 YEAR UPDATE!! Yes 5 years on and this key tin is still working and blocking the signal of my car key! How can I be sure? Because even now and then there are times I forget to take the key out of the tin before I get to the car carrying hands or arms full or stuff and try using a finger to press the button on the doors or boot to get reminded the car won’t unlock as the key is still in the tin

Dragged ourselves into the modern age and got a car with keyless entry. This then opened up a whole range of worries about how easy it would be to gain entry etc. We could have disabled the keyless entry but that would still leave the engine start open to the same vulnerabilities. Anyway you will know all this which is why you are looking. This was a lot more expensive than the fabric pouches but it is very well made soft lining and a super snug closure. Works perfect and even touching the car with the key inside fails to unlock it. I believe this will last for years as opposed to months as the fabric faraday pouches seem too. So for the over thinkers and worriers out there that would rather have had a good old key your not alone by any stretch, get this sleep easy and dream of that rust bucket you had in 1980. Best car I ever had.

Firstly, yes it is a bit pricey, secondly, so is the thing that it's protecting. This does it job well and providing you've measured your fob and checked that against the size measurements provided, then you're off. It smart looking, smooth to the touch and not too weighty. It fits my Jaguar XE fob nicely and even manages to have a bit of space for the identity tag I use. Signal is completely blocked and car will not start, but then that's what I'd expect from a thick(ish) metal box. I had already tried three of the cheaper pouches, which worked fine for about two months then failed completely, so for peace of mind and not wanting the hit and miss nature of having to check on a regular basis if the cheaper pouch was working, I went for one of these. My spare is kept in one of the cheaper pouches, but as it being used very infrequently it will last for considerably longer than the two months with daily use. Highly recommended, but measure your fob and check supplied key holder dimensions before purchase. All in all a good bit of kit.

Nachdem erst vor kurzem der erste Fall eines Fahrzeugdiebstahls in England von einer Überwachungskamera aufgenommen wurde, ist mir bewusst geworden, wie relevant es ist, seinen Schlüssel zu schützen, da dieser stets anfällig für Hacker ist. Daher wollte ich ein Produkt, bei dem ich meinen Keyless-Go-Schlüssel zuhause absichern kann. Bei Alpha Shield wurde ich fündig und habe eine zuverlässige, als auch hübsche und gut verarbeitete Lösung erhalten. Design/Verarbeitung: Die Schutzhülle ist im Kern eine Metallhülle, die innen beschichtet ist und kommt in einem schlichten Schwarz mit "Alpha Shield"-Aufdruck an der Front. Die Verarbeitung ist absolut super, da die äußere Beschichtung sehr glatt und angenehm gestaltet ist, während der Schlüssel im Inneren ein etwas weicheres Futter hat. Sofern man sich das Produkt jedoch nicht für den Eigengebrauch, sondern als Geschenk kauft, wäre es schön, wenn es in einer Geschenkbox geliefert werden würde - so kam die Hülle lediglich in einer Einmalverpackung an. Für mich aber nicht weiter schlimm, da ich sie eh für mich selber wollte. ------------------------- Funktionsweise: Die Funktionsweise selber ist denkbar einfach: die Keyless-Go Technologie versendet stets ein Signal, welches dem Fahrzeug mitteilt "hier bin ich, du kannst das Auto aufschließen". Da dieses Signal eben auch extern abgefangen und reproduziert werden kann (siehe jüngstes Video aus England), verhindert diese Hülle, dass das Signal nach draußen treten kann. Dies wird durch eine bestimmte Beschichtung erzielt. Da dadurch die Keyless Funktion natürlich als Ganzes unterdrückt wird, verwende ich diese Hülle vorrangig als Aufbewarungs-Box für zuhause, wo ich den Schlüssel direkt reinlege. -------------------------- Fazit: Für mich hat das Produkt absolut die Erwartungen erfüllt und es vermittelt durchaus ein zusätzliches Sicherheitsgefühl. Gerade, wo diese Technologie immer mehr zum Standard wird, stellen sich eben auch Verbrecher darauf ein, diese zu umgehen oder abzufangen. Hierfür ist die Box wirklich ein absolut zuverlässiger und toller Schutz, den ich nicht mehr missen möchte. PS: ich fahre selber einen VW Golf GTI und hatte keine Probleme damit.
