desertcart.com: International Taxation in a Nutshell: 9781636590578: Herzfeld, Mindy: Books Review: Great Rundown of Important Concepts - This book contains a great deal of quality information that is condensed into a relatively short-form and easy to digest format. The up-to-date commentary on current law is well written, detailed, and thoughtful, whereas some other books in the Nutshell series are a bit outdated. Finally, the author’s “sass” (for want of a better term) is refreshing and amusing. There are occasional side comments and dry humor, sprinkled sparingly enough to maintain the professional tone, yet frequently enough to get the occasional laugh out of the reader. (e.g. “The complexity involved in applying I.R.C. § 904 to the separate baskets has turned many a sane tax professional (oxymoron?) into a “basket case.” Page 375.) 10 out of 10, would recommend. Review: Love it - Great book for tax professionals who interested in international tax as beginner.

Tax Professional Must Have
Great read, very pleased I decided to purchase this. Very well written with IRC section for reference. Sections are very informative yet short. I tend to read the section then reference the IRC. This is one of those resources you absolutely need handy.

Annoying books
I received two of these "In a nutshell" books on international tax for some tax courses I took at my job (so this review will not be marked as a verified purchase by Amazon). I never used them before. Their "in a nutshell" title made it sound like they're plain language reading, i.e., like CCH's Master Tax Guides ("MTG) - - not so. They're written by a law professor, with little effort made to make them easy to digest. That's ok, but they're also in small sized handbooks (roughly 2/3's the size of a MTG), which makes them physically hard to read. I have 2 of them which I never use them because of that. I'm on Amazon now to ordering a better guide in a larger size & saw this, so thought I'd share my experience. Hope it helps someone.
