I like that I now have a barbell with adjustable weights by using this. I think it's made pretty well. My only gripe is that the collars/nuts are plastic and easy to cross-thread. If you are careful they look like they could last a while, but if you're impatient and cram the nuts on, I could see them breaking and ruining the functionality of this. Also, if not obvious, the barbell is not symmetric when using (since the dumbbells are not circular). It's not a big deal, just something to get used to.

So far, so good. I bought this to pair with a set of Snode AD80s for heavy dumbbell hip thrusts, squats, and lunges. It securely holds the full 160 pounds and has made all of these exercises much easier to perform. For heavy hip thrusts in particular, it’s a big improvement over my old Velcro hip-thrust belt. I added a rubber barbell pad, and the whole setup works great.

I have the adjustable Core Fitness Dumbbells that got from 5-50 lbs, and a flat adjustable bench I use for various exercises. This seemed like a great way to be able to do some straight bar bench presses, shrugs/deadlifts/squats, etc., even tho I'm limited to light weight (100 lbs max, as the bar weighs very little) So for deadlifts, shrugs, or bicep curls/triceps extensions, this does the job pretty well. The down side to getting the bar to your chest in order to do bench press, is that with out a rack, you basically have to snatch/clean the bar as you lay back on the bench to get it on top of your chest. It can be done by resting it across your thighs as you sit, if you're going all the way flat, you pop your legs up and can rotate into position. Doing incline chest press gives you much less room to move, and this can be difficult to do w/ 100 lbs. I weigh about 160 lbs myself, so bigger people might not struggle as much. Without a squat rack to get under the bar, there's really no safe way to get this bar across your back/shoulders for squats, unless you're going w/ light weight. Point being, know the limits for what you want to do. Also the plastic collars are disappointing, as they seem cheap/flimsy compared to the construction of the bar and dumbbell holders, (holders are also plastic, but thick and sturdy). The red screw-down collars are working well so far, so maybe they'll last as long as you don't abuse them. For $130, this is a good home gym addition if you want some variety in your equipment.

Not sure this is for a powerlifter, but it’s been a great addition to my home gym. Saves space, sturdy, and works with my BowFlex adjustable dumbbells.

Love this! Has brought a whole new level to dumbbell workouts. Great quality doesn’t take up a lot of space and seems to work with a variety of dumbbells. I have both the hex dumbbells and some rubber handle and no problem switching things out.

Terrible design! It doesn't fit my existing dumbbells because the enclosure for the dumbbell handle is too small. Maybe the company designed it so that it only works with their products. Returning it ASAP.

I love the fact that this can hold hex dumbbells which have those convex handles. Very versatile. Packs away really easily. Standing the weights upright will give you (well, 5’7” me) a good distance from the ground for deadlifts. Can be difficult to determine where to put the center of gravity as the weights rotate like with bicep curls. Best to do them with just the dumbbells. There is a spot in the middle of it that doesn’t have the rubber coating and that sits right across your upper back for squats. The length is ok for me but my 6’ friend said he would have difficulty doing some exercises like bench press. Would like to see a more sturdy attachment than plastic as I think the threaded clamp will be the first to go and then the thing is useless. All in all a great product. Chose this over the other, cheaper clones as the quality looked better.

Bought this to use with the adjustable dumbbell I bought - but the dumbbell handles are way too big. Thus had to return it. Minus stars; for lack of response by seller and also the item was advertised with free return but asking me to pay for the return label(!) Not able to reach seller; and thank you to Amazon Customer Service for stepping in and got them to send me a return label.

Anyone with Bowflex 1090 should buy this

I like the fact it’s steal pipe not plastic, but I was hoping it would be a bit wider. So I cut it half and sleeved it in an 1 1/4” pipe, now I can use my click weights (90lbs a side) and use my rack for doing bench press and squats military press.
