I had badly sprained my ankle and was 4 months pregnant at the time....i was down for 2 months and wanted to get back on the elliptical but i still was not completely mended....so i begun to research braces and such and found this brace.....i wear an 8 1/2 and the XS size fits perfectly.....it is bulky and a little hard to stuff into your tennis shoe but not too hard to manage and i am almost 8 months pregnant now :) Like other reviewers have said...it keeps your ankle stabilized and i am able to get on the elliptical with ease but i am not trying to return to sprints or anything crazy like that at the moment.....some other concerns was the older version of the brace which is pictured...they sent me the newer model which has red ends on the shoe laces....and i didn't even have to ask. So it would seem that they improved from the older model and that is what they send out....but that is just my guess.....hope this helps...take care (^.^)

enter... sweet, sweet relief. I was able to put more weight on my foot instantly. Really helped with healing. I wouldn't use this for cardio based sports, as it is rigid (like it should be.) They make less rigid versions if that's what you're looking for. High quality, easy to cinch without slippage while wearing it. I have a woman's size 6.5 foot. I was worried the smallest size wouldn't fit as I was just under the foot size cut off. I have't have any times where i feel it's to big, especially when my foot is swollen! I just wear it with thick socks to i can really get it tight without pain where the brace stops and starts. Get this, you cant beat it.

This brace has been such a help to me. I have arthritis in my ankle and I practice martial arts. It's kept me from falling and hurting myself. It has a really good support. Only thing is, it can be difficult to take off and put on and does get uncomfortable after a few hours of wearing it. I wouldn't recommend wearing it all day long but only for occasions that you need the extra support

My ankles have always been weak, but when I started playing rugby it turned into a real problem. I have tried out many ankle braces but this is the best one I have found so far, and other people on the team with past angle injuries use it as well to prevent further injuries and stableize the ankle. Also, it is great for sports which don't allow stiff braces since this has no solid plastic or metal pieces, so I can wear it for games and competitions. Havent had a problem with it yet! Also super comfortable! the only thing that isn't as great as other braces is that it takes a while to put on, but it is worth it!

These are my favorite ankle braces. I've been using them for basketball and rugby for years! Might take a little bit to break them in, but once they're broken in, they are very comfortable but still very sturdy. Also, they're one of the thinner ones so they'll fit in your shoes and cleats more easily than others, which was usually the problem I had with other braces.

This product was recommended by a neighbor and I do like it. My ankle hasn't given out during tennis yet. It fits into my existing tennis shoe, which is a plus. I'm a ladies 8.5 regular shoe and the XS size fits me. It does not impede my play on the courts at all. I'm glad I bought it. Additional Comment as of July 2011: one con to this product is that the underside ends right at the ball of the foot. I have jarred the ball of my foot into the edge of this support during game play several times and over time it has created some pain in this area. I have tried playing without it, but I do need it for the ankle. I guess, for me, this type of ankle support modified with a smaller width under the arch would be better. Additional Comment Feb 2012: still using this product with good success. For the last 6 months I have not had the jarring and I assume this is because the product has worked in a bit. Changed the star rating to five stars to reflect this.

This thing is as tough as nails! provides great support but flexibility. It's washable, and the laces allow you to get a custom fit. Very comfortable once broken in! Fits great in anything, from a pair of hiking boots to ultralight "sockless" running shoes. If this thing ever does break, she'll be first in line to buy a replacement! she wears it while on her daily runs and it has saved her ankle more than once. Could not recommend this brace enough!

This was incredibly painful to wear! If anything this did more harm than good! I am so angry that I wasted my time and money and now am in pain because of this product. I use splints when my arthritis flares up to help support joints that are aching and would otherwise get overworked and damaged that day. I have a similar style to this that isn’t made anymore by ACE that I was hoping to find a similar one to for my other ankle so I can have support for both instead of choosing the one that hurts the most. This one offers very little support for the actual ankle since the stays STOP right at it! It restricted my movement and put me off balance causing me to have to compensate for this by overworking my leg muscles. After a few hours my entire leg hurt like I had been running for that whole time! It did very little to relieve the actual pain that develops while on my feet for a long time if not making it worse. I would have been better off with a soft ankle brace that would have actually supported my ankle without knocking me off balance. This is completely useless! It needs support under the foot not just stiff plastic. And, all the padding is in the wrong place. I have huge heels so my ankle bones should have come up higher than most people’s in this, but the padding stops just where the stays do—above the ankle!!! This is either made for completely the wrong shoe size than they say or they had no idea how to design the xs. My foot isn’t the same size as someone’s who wears a 9 or bigger! At 7.5 to 8 (just shy of the AVERAGE shoe size of American women—8.5) I even fall on the larger end of the shoe size range of the xs size but it was designed terribly for someone with “small” feet.

Es muy funcional, me gusta que puedo caminar y sentir la rigidez en el tobillo que me ayuda a caminar mientras estoy en recuperación del esguince. Mi traumatólogo me recomendó esta tobillera.
