Excellent drill, even for novice users
This drill replaced an older type that I had for 10 to 15 years. I'm very happy with this new one - super easy to use, fairly intuitive, and gets every job around the house done right. A few YouTube videos on specifics (like how to set the numbers depending on the job) have me drilling like a pro. Happy with my purchase.

Dewalt makes some fantastic tools. Typically for this price you only get the tool, but in this case you get the battery and charger as well which is a bonus. It’s quite compact, and really powerful. It’s light weight, and the build quality looks and feels top tier.

I run a detailing shop and all of our cordless tools are DEWALT, so this 20V MAX brushless compact drill fits right into daily use. It’s been used regularly for shop tasks, equipment setup, and general maintenance, and it’s held up exactly how I expect DEWALT tools to. The brushless motor provides consistent power without overheating, even during repeated use throughout the day. The drill has more than enough torque for mounting accessories, drilling into wood or metal, and other shop-related tasks while still offering good control at lower speeds. The compact size is a big advantage in a shop environment. It’s easy to maneuver in tight spaces and comfortable to use for longer periods without fatigue. The 1/2-inch ratcheting chuck grips bits securely and hasn’t loosened during use, which is important when switching between different attachments. Battery life has been solid.
