Having spent an embarrassingly long time reviewing rotary airers online, I bought the Brabantia Lift-O-Matic- 60 Metres.Really pleased I did. I was a bit worried about the ground spike, we have very ‘stoney’ grass and I wasn’t convinced it would go in at all - let alone straight, but it did.This is a really good quality item. Sturdy, well made, with so much space for clothes and bed linen.The lift action on this is a dream - it glides effortlessly to the highest setting. It is a lovely height for me, I’m 5ft 6, and I can walk past it without fear of banging into the corner arms.I wasn’t sure if the 60 metres would look too big for where I wanted it, a small corner of my garden, but it is perfect. I wanted to keep the lines clean, so I bought the Brabantia Premium Protective Cover separately, available on Amazon. Really worth buying, very good quality, with zip to make it easier to put on - looks good too.

Product arrives in a large cardboard box that is about two meters long. It’s a nicely finished product. Looks expensive.It's mostly in one piece. Removing the outer plastic film and the ground-spike falls out, which has been split in half. I am not completely sure why they supplied it in two halves, but it only takes a minute to join them together.While the spike is strong, the moment I looked at it I realised it was not going in my soil. My back garden in heavy, compacted clay soil. No way it would go in to that. So, change of plan, I had to dig a "post hole" in ground and pop out for some quick-set concrete.I used a couple of pieces of wood and cable ties to point the pole straight up, then surrounded the spike with concrete, fairly dry so it didn’t ingress in to the hole in the spike, and left it be for a few hours. No doubt it will move, in time, but for the moment it’s vertical and strong.Using the line, it's very smooth to lift and nice and tall so you can get the washing well off the floor. It's also easy to adjust the line so the height is lower for people of a lesser loftiness.Everything works very well. Pleased with the purchase. It's worth the extra little money it costs.Recommended.

After many years of nagging I have finally got a washing line- joy!. It is very easy to erect, put down and store away. It holds a really good amount of washing. Well recommended

You don't realise how enormous this line is until you hang a full basket it up and it barely takes any space at all up on the line. Once it's in it seems sturdy. It's the epic amount of line we needed and we definitely got that! Some people have mentioned it difficult if you're short. However I'm 5'3" and don't even have to stretch to hang it washing the highest line.It came with a long spike, someone mentioned theirs was 6 inches in their review, ours was more than twice that! Getting the spike in was interesting though. I started as a petite female who's relatively fit. It was a nightmare. I put wood on top and used a sledgehammer to get it in. After 5 minutes I'd got about 3 inches. So my husband then took pity on me and with his weight and strength behind it it was in within another 5 minutes. Without a sledgehammer I'm genuinely not convinced we'd have got it in. Our ground is hard and full of rocks though, I'm fairly sure whoever did the extension onto the old end of the house 70 years ago dumped all their building rubble into the garden and then they threw soil and seed at it and it somehow worked! I suspect the spike is designed for lovely soft, rock free soil. However if they'd put an actual spike on the "spike" rather than a blunt end it would have made our lives significantly easier.Once in it was fine. When up it seems nice and sturdy.I'll review again in a year after its stood for a winter but for now I'm impressed in all bar the ground spike.

Brilliant washing line, comes with a really sturdy spike too, which takes ages to knock in to the ground but it holds firm & straight once it’s in! Good quality, as always from Brabantia. Work the money!

Now that’s a great rotary line! A little more than I wanted to pay…but so worth it. Very robust and so nicely designed. The first one of these I had, lasted over 16 years, and the cheaper one was false economy, only lasting 2 years. Love the new design and ample room for bedding with a good sturdy underground spike that doesn’t allow the socket to fill with rainwater. Highly recommend..thank you

Great rotary dryer with galvanised ground spike.Arrived well packaged and few days after ordering.You can drive the ground spike into the ground if you wish, but I preferred to concrete in place.The dryer opens easily and the height is fully adjustable.Construction is good and the dryer should last a long time is looked after.I've bought a zip up cover to put over it when not in use.All in all a good quality rotary dryer.

Very good quality and well made not cheap but worth itI used 1 and half bags of post Crete and let the spike sit for 3 days before putting in the clothes line it’s now rock solid if you’re looking for clothes line and don’t mind paying a bit extra I’d buy it my last 1 snapped in high wind I don’t think this 1 will it’s like a scaffold bar

Dopo averlo sperimentato per un lungo tempo, devo dire che è uno stendibiancheria molto robusto, che può essere anche regolato nelle altezze. Si riesce a stendere più lavatrice alla volta e l'aria passa con facilità permettendo un asciugatura regolare. Sono molto soddisfatta dell'acquisto se avete spazio lo consiglio

Super pratique

My wife likes to hang clothes outside. Space is limited. This fits easily in our back yard and was an easy install. I love the smell of sheets and towels when they been dried outdoors.
