First let me state that I had my reservations if this would be compatible for my situation. Roku TV Digital sound output to an Older Pioneer Cabinet Stereo System with RCA inputs and Dolby surround sound. It was almost Plug and Play simple to connect and powered through the USB port on the Roku TV. After checking the settings on the Roku I found that it worked with the standard configuration, the Pioneer controls the volume output to the speaker's and as usual it wanted to bounce the decorations off the wall around it LOL 😁👍 I'm happy to be able to get my surround sound back, a good value for the cost.

Easy install and works great. The guy at Best Buy said it couldn't be done without 3-4 powered units to make the conversion, this did it in one step and was far cheaper.

used this on a TCL 40" to connect the optical to a Jensen headunit in an RV that only had stereo (left/right red/white) inputs. working great now, I have TV optical out to the Jensen unit attached to the front+rear speaker system.

I have the Sonos connect gen 2 for providing signal to house speakers and pool speakers via an amplifier. The amp does not have optical audio ins, only RCA (white and red). The RCA out on the Sonos connects failed, which they are known to do, rending the unit obsolete to connect RCA cables to a stereo or in this case an amplifier that pushes power to house and pool speakers. I purchased these to convert the optical audio out on the Sonos connect to red and white channel cables to connect to the amp. Please be aware that this product does not come with a power plug and you will need to connect to the USB power cable or plug into a surge protector that has usb 2.1 or 3 female receptical. The product worked perfectly and instead of buying new Sonos connect S2 (2 of them as first one failed a year ago), I was able to get the system up and running again using the optical audio out converted to RCA. Also please note that the PCM setting was fine on my application as I was not trying to carry 5.1 stereo or AC3 that may come from a TV optical audio out. If you are trying to get these audio features from a TV to a receiver or stereo, the seller clearly states it is incompatible. Not an issue for most applications IMHO.

This product worked great with connecting my sound system that doesn’t have an optical connection since I got a new tv with no rca connection I had to buy this converter it’s works great (sorry I got no pictures)

You plug one end to your fiber optic output on your TV and the other end into the rca audio input on your receiver. You can power the de ice by plugging the usb into the usb plug on your TV or any usb power brick. The sound is clear but not as good as analog. I enjoy it although its hard to know if it's truly a 192khz device.

Der Konverter erfüllt genau das, was er verspricht. Meine alte 5.1 Anlage ließ sich problemlos mit dem neuen TV verbinden und funktioniert jetzt wieder einwandfrei.
