Installation took time as the water butts were about 4m from the fall pipe. I feel that the angle of the connectors on the butts would be better if horizontal rather than inclined waiting now for rain to check all OK, I have doubts about the connecting pipe between butts as the connectors point upwards, again I feel they would be better if the connection positions were horizontal. All appears neat and OK awaiting rain!. Note:-decided to link butts at bottom for filling/emptying together, using two double outlet taps and two elbow hose connectors with hose, see photo.

All works well except for the lack of pieces for joining the two together. I can't for the life of me understand why the hole needed is 27mm? Who has a 27mm drill bit? I managed it with a 25mm flat drill bit and a bit of trimming with a knife. I then used a 30mm bit to pass the pipe directly into the second tank due to not having another connection piece to allow for the connection as shown in the picture. Overall it works well, but will leak from the oversized hole when full.

Good value for 2 of these two slim Ward water butts. They fit into a narrower area than the standard 230 litre butts. As others have said you will need to buy the separate connector kit. Also ideally a drill with a 25mm hole saw for making neat holes for the kit. I had to put them on some slightly uneven ground so bought a couple of 45cm paving slabs which I could level with shims, to put them on. Standard installation is with a connector horizontally between them near the top. It means that one butt fills before filling the other and allows them to be drained independently if need be.

These are reasonably good quality rainwater butts, but the push fit connections require a jubilee clip to provide a better seal. If using 2 water butts in tandem as the image shows then you require an additional connector and you have a surplus down pipe collector!

Very poor stability due to the base plastic sections being flimsy and not locking together very well. This means the base really needs to be sunk into soil or gravel just to give it some firmness. Sinking the base to make it firm then lowers the tap, so it needs hosepipe on the end to fill the watering can. Poor connections between the butts (I bought two with a hose connector). Next time I will pay more and get the water butts I previously bought. This cheaper option is not up to scratch

Agree with the other reviewers. Good bits of kit, but the images show 2 connected together but they are 2 separate units. 2 gutter connections, but no connection kit together connect them together. Other than that, they are a good size, small enough to fit in tight spaces or not obscure the walkway: sturdiness seems ok, and the capacity looks good for a slimline tank. Just wish the images were more accurate. Had to spend another tenner.
