This is the filter for the (almost) 5" long (tall) filter housing. The filter is just a wee bit over 4-3/4" long by a tiny bit over 2-7/8" diameter.

Is this a pre or post filter

Most use it as a pre-filter, but you can use it as post in certain applications

Regarding pentek cbc-10 carbon block filter cartridge, 9-3/4" x 2-7/8", 0.5 micron , will it work with omni sfm2 seria a filter ?

Not sure but try to get the dimensions of the Omni filter and compare to the Pentek to see if they are close.
