Well packaged for shipping. Your box was inserted into a larger box by Amazon and arrived on time and without damage.Product works better than expected and the screen size and volume are more than adequate. Relatively sure that I won't use the piping to external devices features; however, it's a nice touch that it is included. Battery life for the time being is ok, longer than I expected. I still have to see what it is when using USB -v- DVDs, but that a "to do" for later.What more can I say, it works like a charm, looks good, and is very lightweight. It appears to be totally better than a Sony unit that my wife uses (purchases years ago with a smaller screen and at 3x the cost). Remote buttons are a tad small; but, I say that for most remotes.Principle use is by an 80+ year old grandmother that has no clue regarding electronics and she can operate it without any problems at all.The unit I have is has a 15.25" screen and not the 14" one indicated on the Warranty Screen (Model PD158) - Product description on the Label on the bottom of the machine also indicates 14". Oh well, I guess that I can live with it.Overall nice product that I would recommend to any friend that needs one. Price point is reasonable.

The media could not be loaded. I usually give review on the products that I like and when I have time.It takes me awhile sometimes to give a review because I wanna make sure I use it and observe the product.I've been a DB Power user for more or less a decade now. I used to have DBPower DVD player ( I icnluded photo here); but it's old, small and of course, doesn't work anymore after long years of use. Now that I got a new one, I'm throwing out the old one.We homeschool. We use Abeka curriculum and we are accredited so we need a device to play our dvds. I can use a laptop. However, most laptops nowadays don't have dvd player anymore. I'll need to buy an external dvd player to be hooked up to the laptop; so that will be additional expense! Plus, I 'll carry 2 gadgets when we travel; bulky.I also prefer dvd player than laptop because I don't want my child to hook up the gadget tot he internet while doing her lesson. At her young age, she knows how to connect gadgets to the internet.So we took this new DBPower DVD Player on our journey to Apache lake in Arizona. We're able to use this with the car charger while we travel. We're also able to use it without the charger; just the battery. I also was able to use the micro sd card connected to the usb. I also tried connecting it to our smart tv and I was surprised with the nice picture quality. I wish though that in the near future, the manufacturer would put a slot of HDMI in the dvd player, but even though it's just the AV, it still works.I made a short video here that's like a summary of this product review which may help those who would wanna buy this.Overall, I like this DVD player because it has nice picture quality and sound. The screen is also bigger. It serves its purpose! I will recommend this to our homeschooler facebook groups if they wanna buy a device for their homeschooling.

We used this on a 22-hour road trip for our kids in the backseat. It has a bigger screen than our last one and is better quality. The sound was good, and the controls are easy to figure out. Happy with our purchase, it’s just what we needed!

I bought this for my 93 yr old mother to play her DVD's. I used a label maker with white tape so she could easily see the buttons she needed due to her poor vision. The large screen is easy for her to see and the sound is awesome. The unit seems durable and is very light weight allowing her to easily move it from place to place on her walker. She is thrilled with it and so far I definitely give it a five star. I really hope it lasts because it has been a great addition for her. We did not give here the remote so I cannot say how it would work with that but playing music CD's and DVD's are easy and no problem for her to operate. I like the ease of operation and the nice pop up DVD door. (I returned different company's DVD player that had that problem)The only issue for us was the dark identification on some of the operational buttons but a label maker solved that problem. Highly recommend this so far.

With a brand new DVD the Video would play about 4 seconds and then freeze for about 4 seconds over and over again. The Menu feature would not function correctly. The earphone output was pitiful. At full volume (20) it was barely audible. I didn’t try any of the other features but confident they would not function any better. Apparently quality control doesn't exist here. Junk is too kind of a description for this thing. I’m returning.
