Will this wax work well on fine grit (220) coated knife sharpening wheels?

I'm not sure about that. It would help cool the wheel but it would collect metal.

This is a sticky wax, so I don't believe it would work to lubricate a table saw top. It is made to lubricate the saw teeth on the metal saw blade.
