Flakes & other textures - not boring
Great product. Always used this brand & now this one especially suitable for more senior dog. Not just plain kibble but includes lots of different textures.

Dr John silver is great, this is even better.
I was feeding my senior lurcher/whippet Dr John silver. As she had gained a little weight (not linked to the silver) I have cut her treats and thought I'd give this a go. A little more expensive but she absolutely loves it. Her weight is coming under control and I have replaced her treats with these. I will 💯 buy this again.

Great DogFood
My German Shepherd x Chocolate Labrador loves this food. Her coat has come back shining 🌟 and she's stopped scooting🤠 doesn't itch her ears constantly anymore. The food quality is Great and expands well, it maybe a small looking amount but as soon as she has water it becomes worthy of a stomach full. It's a little pricey as I was getting Wagg before 12kg. However, this is 15kg. The benefits for her outway the cost.

I’m not sure if something has changed but we were getting Dr John complete Dry dog food Flake with Chicken for senior dogs and now it’s for working dogs it’s a similar bag until you read the details

Dry food that's not kibble 😁
My senior greyhound recently started struggling to digest his raw diet, frequently regurgitated food and lost 4kg weight. I won't buy extruded kibble on principle but needed something tasty, easily digestible with slow release nutrients. Dr John Flake is the perfect solution. 5 minute soak in lukewarm water, hand mixed with steamed cooked meat and veg. Photos show dry mix and a contented greyhound with a happy belly. Great stools too BTW!

Value for Money
Previously I have bought the hypo-allergenic Dr John variety for my three dogs but when I saw this and checked the ingredients (no nasties and less protein), I thought I would give it a try as it is a good £6-8 cheaper. So far all three dogs are eating it and no dodgy stomachs! Win win for me! Something to note, it does look different - flakes through it (not dissimilar to cornflakes) and it can be a bit grainy as you get closer to the bottom of the bag. My dogs get wet food and water mixed through their dry food so it does not seem to bother them.

Do-over with my review. Problem was Amazon not the supplier. Dogs love this food. Previous food we had had changed and was leaving my dogs with upset stomachs. This one is perfect and the dogs are happy to run back and forward all day to their dishes
