Works as expected
Haven’t had any issues. I’ve also only had to use it 3-4 times. Most of those times were when at the hospital they have charging for free but had to add this adapter.

Expand your Tesla's DC fast charge options
Wow.. this DC fast charge adapter works great, its compact and fits in the door pocket when storing it. I had looked at other adapters 6 months ago and they were huge and cost 4 times as much. Note: It is DC charge only as the AC conductors are not in the adapter. This adapter expands your Tesla's DC charging options as it allows you to charge your Tesla at any DC charger like Electrify America, Charge point etc.

Device did not work on my Tesla Y 2023. Had to return.
I tried using adapter numerous times on different EV stations at my local shopping mall. I thought the stations were faulty and kept testing. Today it failed again, after moving car to adjacent EV charger spout. Previous EV station charged someone else’s car without an adapter, perfectly fine.

Proper connector neck size
I guess when Tesla makes their cars (or maybe used to QA their cars), they skipped the gap check between the quarter panel and the plastic backing of the charge port, leading to deeper recession and not fitting correctly with larger CCS connectors. This particular adapter has enough length on the port neck.

Love it.
Works great. I can connect my Tesla Y to CCS High speed DC Chargers (especially the free ones)

Ends "proprietary electricity" for your Tesla
If you're in a Tesla desert and have CCS1 options like EV-Go or Electrify America, this is the answer to a long-wanted way to fill "our" cars with "their" electricity. To confirm your Tesla is compatible, touch Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information on the touchscreen. If your 3 or Y is listed as not CCS compatible, you have an opportunity to learn about A Bundle of Wires with a Board.I'm experienced with EVs, but I'm docking a point for using inconsistent units to describe the capabilities of this product and I suspect that the terms are intentionally used loosely to overstate them.Power is measured in KiloWatts.Energy (Power over time) is measured in kiloWatt/Hours.Tesla owners are conditioned to salivate at V3 chargers, which offer 250kW/H. These offer a great charge for us because A) it's more than 150kW/H, the previous standard B) it's not subject to needing to alternate stalls because your neighbor can tank YOUR performance. We've all intuitively learned that V3 charging is good. They're _just_ starting to roll out 350kW/H in v4, so we're conditioned to associate "350" with "kW/h". In casual conversation, Tesla literature and owners never use "amperes" when discussing charge unless it's home charging or a campground or some other L1 charger. Thus advertising it as "350A" when Tesla charging is just never measured in Amps seems to be a way to get Tesla enthusiasts to anchor it with the "350kW/H" associated with the newer charging standard and, yes, offered by some locations of CCS1 chargers. Instead, the actual limited rating is expressed as a range (which is totally weird and just not something done in electrical work) - there is a limit that's safe and one that's not. A user shouldn't have to wonder if 170kW/H is actually safe or not because it's in the limit band of "150-200kW".I'm curious if you pre-warmed your car with a warm battery and a low SoC and pulled into a charger that could offer the 350kW/H charge of certain EA chargers if it's the responsibility of the user or the charging protocol to lower the max charge to the actual stated rate of 200. I wasn't able to test this before deadline. It seems there is an unjustifiable attempt to confuse purchasers. If the product accurately stated it could do 200kW/H and that it would be responsible for negotiating that max with the CCS1 charger, that would actually be pretty darned exciting. V2 superchargers deliver 250 but only for a few minutes and never when sharing a stall, so a rock-solid 200 over time would actually still be really welcome.Overall, though, while I feel iike I'll have to babysit and be sure that someone (the car? this adapter? me?) enforces that limit of 200 to keep the smoke-fairy at bay, the unit seems of quality build and I look forward to it joining me in the Tesla Subtrunk for road trips.

CCS Tesla Adapter
I've used a few different CCS adapters and have found that they all work relatively the same. One thing that sets this one apart from others is the lack of a physical locking mechanism - the Tesla OEM CCS adapter and most others I've seen include a locking pin that is pushed in when connected to the vehicle, and prevents the CCS handle from being unlatched during charging. Unlike J1772 charging, CCS chargers do not disengage automatically when the latch is pressed, so there's a degree of risk here - you could unplug your car while it is actively charging, which may cause electrical arcs between the CCS handle and this adapter and could potentially damage the car, the adapter, or the station. As long as you avoid doing that it should be fine. The positive side of that, of course, is that the adapter is smaller and lighter weight than the OEM adapter.I took the adapter down to a nearby EVGO CCS charger and tested it out. I forgot to precondition the battery and also charged at 47%, which led to the charger maxing out around 96kW. I stopped charging and switched to the OEM adapter and got the same 96kW, so the limiting factor was not this adapter. All in all, not a bad adapter, but for safety reasons I personally would pick another adapter that is capable of locking.

CCS1 to Tesla Adapter Review: Pros, Cons, and Convenient Charging Solutions
At the time of this vine review, this was retailing for $199 + tax.Just a bit of a heads-up, ensure that the CCS1 to Tesla Adapter is actually compatible with your vehicle in the first place. You can find this information by looking into your vehicle's information screen. It should say 'enable TCS.' If you don't see this, it's not compatible. But if you see 'enable TCS,' your vehicle is guaranteed to work with the TCS adapter. This product is made of plastic material. When you compare it to its other adaptor, it's much larger, and it weighs about a pound, so it's heavy. Now, after using this adapter, here's what my experience has been like. There are some pros and cons you definitely need to be aware of. For example, you lose the capability to precondition your battery when you select a third-party charger on the navigation screen. So, as soon as you arrive at a CTS, it won't be able to charge at a very high efficient rate to give you the fastest quick charge experience. You might be thinking, why do you need this adapter? Well, if you're heading for the mall and there are CCS structures there but no Tesla Chargers, using the CCTS adapter on that CCS charging station can save you some time. Instead of going to the mall and then going to the Tesla Charger, it's all about convenience. This adapter allows me to charge my vehicle and grab what I'm trying to get at the mall, saving myself some time.It is listed on the IKITS Max 250KW. That adapter can take up to 250 kilowatts, efficiently charging your vehicle with the Tesla recommended 250 kilowatts. My vehicle was at 48%, and it was able to charge up to 99% just fine.Another advantage is that if there are absolutely no available slots in the Tesla network, you're not stranded waiting in line like everybody else. You have the freedom to look for a third-party CCS fast charging network and drive there to charge with your adapter. I've seen what happens during the busy weekends when there are literally no networks available and everybody's waiting. But aside from that, this thing works really well with a compatible vehicle. Unfortunately, it is large and bulky, which may take up a lot of space depending on your cargo layout. I've been able to sneak mine in the back seat part of my Model S, right next to the other adapter.I wish Tesla included this for free, but I doubt it, especially since the standard charging cable is no longer included with the vehicle; you have to purchase that separately. That kind of sucks, but for $199, it's a fair investment, and I do recommend it

Good build quality and works as expected
I felt a bit restricted with my Tesla when I couldn't charge in some regions owing to different charging solutions, so I got the IKITS CCS1 to Tesla Adapter, which is a handy item for people like me who want to use 3rd party Level 3 charging stations whenever I can and don't have the Tesla supercharger is either not available or not convenient. Thanks to this converter, my Tesla Model Y can now connect to CCS1 charging stations. I have access to a broad network of quick charging options because it is compatible with Level 3 charge stations. The construction quality of the adaptor is amazing. It has a strong and powerful feel to it, giving the impression that it will last a long time. Despite its considerable big size, the adapter's connection to the charging station is secure, decreasing the potential of unintended disconnections in between the charging. Using this adapter is quite easy as I just need to plug this first to the charging station and then plug it in my Tesla to start the charging.
