Science Research Writing For Non-native Speakers Of English

This a brilliant book that helps with writing an academic paper for publishing, but also any research dissertation (BSc, MSc or PhD). I feel that it is not suitable only for non-native speakers of English, but also for English speakers who are writing their first academic work. It has grammar and writing skills sections and an excellent vocabulary list including examples of how the words and phrases are to be used. It is published by Imperial College Press and that in itself is a mark of quality.

If you are struggling with academic writing, I would recommend people to use this as a guide book. It's easy to read and present information in a logical way.

This is an excellent book that really helped me to structure my lab reports up to a research standard.

The most favorite I like the book is for non-native speakers. The book has comprehensive content for fresh people who is the first time to write research dessert.

It's a good book,full of advice and terms.It is clear and divided into sections corresponding to the section of a scientific paper. I really like it.

Excellent book

This is an excellent book for scientific writing. This books is meant for writing a paper and it drives home the point from page one. The exercises in the book are immensely helpful and so are the models for different sections of a paper. Writing a paper used to be a nightmare for me. This book has certainly helped me alleviate the fear. I have used few other writing manuals, such as Strunk and White, before. While they are excellent at pointing out what to do, they fail to motivate the reasons behind the commandment. This is also where this book excels. In every chapter, the author analyzes test cases and explains the reasons behind using a particular tense or a particular voice. As an ESL student, these clarifications are extremely helpful and enlightening to me. In conclusion, I definitely recommend buying this book.

Le livre est le meilleur que je connaisse en matière de conseils pour rédiger une publication scientifique de qualité et mérite amplement une note de 5 étoiles. Néanmoins, comme le livre acheté neuf est arrivé abimé dans l'emballage de basse qualité d'Amazon, la seule sanction possible pour remonter ce problème pour moi est de ne mettre qu'1 étoile ... et encore j'aurais aimé pouvoir mettre 0 étoile.

I really learnt a lot of things that I did not know about writing in english. Additionally, I think it can really help for those like me non-native speakers of english that need to write papers.
