gave this 5 stars because the build quality is genuinely excellent. The materials feel durable and solid, and it works exactly as described. The tripod base is stable, the extension feels secure, and it’s a great option for vlogging, fixed shots, or standard camera use. If you’re using a regular camera or filming stationary content, this is a very reliable and well-built accessory. The only reason I’m returning it is specific to my use case. I was hoping to use it with my Insta360 for fully “invisible” selfie stick shots. Because of the tripod base design, the lower portion is visible in 360 footage. That’s not a flaw in the product — it just isn’t designed to be an invisible stick. If you’re not concerned about 360 invisible effects, this is a great, high-quality option.

This is an extendable selfie stick that doubles as a tripod. I use it for my action cam. It has a sturdy base that keeps it stable. It does exactly what i need it to do. It is kind of heavy but that is the tradeoff for sturdiness. If you are only interested in a selfie stick, I advise getting a light stick. If you like the tripod function, this is a great item.

Much versatility in a compact package. Using this with a Go Pro on a cross-country bicycle trip. Will easily fit in my pannier bag. Selfie-stick mode will be used for moving POV shots. The fold out tripod feet turns the stick into an excellent camera stand that can easily be adjusted for shots near the ground up to eyeball height.

This is a great little tripod/selfie stick. The extending reach is great, and I gather great footage from a unique perspective on my adventures. The tripod function does the job just fine and the adapter on top for most cameras also fits with my recorder, so I can get my microphone exactly where I need it to record music as well. Very happy with this purchase.

This tripod selfie stick travels with me all over the country, and for what it is, it works very well. I mainly use it to mount an action camera next to the stage—whether for B-roll, security footage, or a secondary angle of a presenter—and it’s become part of my weekly setup. At full extension it can get a little wobbly, so I wouldn’t place it where people are likely to bump into it. That said, the wide plastic legs give it decent stability overall. If I could suggest upgrades, I’d love to see longer legs, sturdier materials like metal or carbon fiber, and a more versatile head for better angle adjustments. Of course, those changes would raise the price. Even so, this has been a solid, reliable piece of gear. I throw it in my bag with my Osmo 5, set it up quickly, and it gets the job done.

Very cool and useful thing! But on the street I think that the camera can be blown away by the wind if the holder is completely open.

If you’re looking for a simple selfie stick that you can collapse into a small size and take anywhere, this is NOT it. The handle is beefy, and the tripod is substantial. Like, it could probably withstand a minor hurricane. In my case, I use it to hold both my phone and an “Osmo pocket” simultaneously, so I appreciate the extra stability.

Fantastic unit, I only received it today and have used it a few times to make videos for my YouTube channel, the tripod legs are very wide and keeps the camera very steady even when it’s windy outside. I definitely recommend this item

I really like Ulanzi and have purchased a lot of small ballheads, as well as professional tripods (Treeroot) that I highly recommend. This is definitely not replacing my Treeroot tripod, but I was looking for a lightweight stand for lights, phones and smaller applications and this is a great one. I like the tilt head with fastening knob (much easier than twisting your camera or the entire tripod), and the height is perfect for me. A couple of things to note: it’s really only useful for level ground as there is only a tilt option, and because of the larger base platform (which I like for my purposes), it may not be entirely invisible if you use a 360cam with it.

This is a great tripod. It's very versatile and can be used as a selfie stick or floor mounted tripod. It is very well constructed and very light. It folds down to a convenient size. At full extension it's the perfect height for me when doing a talking head to camera or drive by action shots. Super easy to use once you figure out how to get the legs to open. The design is very contemporary and the knurled ring screws are machined very nicely. Overall I think this is a great value and versatile tripod.
