Totally useless. It didn't block out any sound. A complete waste of money.

Excellent for reducing background noise. Took a while to get used to sleeping with ear muffs, but really good.

I've already contacted the manufacturer and I'll just cut & paste my email to them plus their reply and let you draw your own conclusions. Hi Chris, I bought the Hibermate Sleep Mask - Pitch Black on the 11th October as I am struggling to get to sleep in town with lots of background noise through the night. Unfortunately I am a side-sleeper and no amount of soft pillows nor tweaking the ear-pads etc could make the ear-muffs settle down. I constantly felt like my head was rocking on the earmuffs due to the solid structures. If only there was a way to make them more flexible -maybe some kind of gel-filled edges like you sometimes get as wrist-rests on mouse-pads? I also found the straps to be too tight, even on maximum extension. I know I don't have an above average head size and I also see that many other users have mentioned this issue. Seems a no-brainer to fix. I'm sure with a bit of use there would be some give in the tautness, however a bit of use would necessitate wearing it, which is uncomfortable and certainly not conductive to a good night's sleep. All in all, this product was worse than nothing for the straightforward issue I have. I suspect if the strap were a little looser I might keep it for long journeys, but for lying down it makes it harder, not easier, to sleep (in fact I was unable to drop off to sleep while wearing it and hurled it at the wall in a fit of frustration somewhere around 2 am - sorry). I don't know what your returns policy is or how you aim to resolve customer complaints, but since you left a card asking politely for negative feedback to be sent to the company first, I figured I'd at least give you a chance. can't block snoring very well

I give this a bonus point because there's simply no other sleeper-friendly earmuff available on the market. I use this nightly because I'm a light sleeper and otherwise the nightime noises my husband inadvertently makes would drive me nuts. I've had to stop using ear plugs because they inhibit my ears cleaning themselves of wax, and I needed my ears syringed. Not something I want to do regularly. The sleep mask is top quality. best light exclusion I've had yet. The ear muffs let in more noise than wax earplugs but aren't bad for muffs that are small and soft enough to actually sleep in. There's room for improvement in the straps, which are thin and elasticated and hard to adjust. Having used sleep masks with similar straps in the past, they tend to wear out after a couple of months, and it would be shame for a premium product to be let down by something so simple. So overall, I'm reasonably pleased with this. It could be better, but it more-or-less does what I need, and they deserve kudos for actually making the only product to fill this particular gap in the market.

En plus d'être cher, le casque ne réduit pas vraiment le bruit, sauf quand on le combine avec des boules quiès. Mais pour dormir, on ne peut pas trop le faire sur le côté. En plus, le masque se plie après quelques utilisations et devient inefficace. Une perte d'argent, dommage.

Secure and comfortable. 100% effective at blocking light, 80% at blocking ambient noise. Incredibly comfortable for this back sleeper (whose partner snores loudly and watches TV in bed). I use small in-ear buds to listen to audiobooks/podcasts in addition to the donut ear cups and they work perfectly. Very pleased with purchase.

I normally just return things instead of write negative reviews. In this case, since I can't return the item and am stuck with it, I'm writing to let others know that I'll probably throw this in the garbage because I can't sleep with these on. The ear cushion is very soft and comes with cup ear pads installed and also an extra flat pad to swap out. The mask is soft as well. Unfortunately, all this does not come together in a comfortable package. The straps are confusing to adjust. With the strap loosened all the way, the ear muffs do not hold tight enough to block out noise. Tighten the strap a little then the ear muffs will work but then it becomes annoying uncomfortable with the feeling of your whole head being wrapped in straps in the back, mask in the front, and ear muffs on the side. There is no option to remove the mask and use the muffs alone. In order for the muffs to work and mask to block out lights, everything must be strapped up tightly, causing too much discomfort to sleep with.
