Attaches easily
I was able to attach this easily to a 1lb propane tank and then to my stove. Snug threads. No leaking. Works great as a backup adapter when butane/propane mix gas is not available.

How to connect to butane? You have to twist pretty hard to force the plastic to engage.
Not sure how long they'll last. I got the three pack. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to connect my propane lantern to the butane canister. I pushed on the connector and it popped off. I noticed the black plastic had a little play, and kept studying it.What you do, is push down, and then twist hard on the orange/gold anodized part. It will sort of cam out the black plastic which then grabs onto the butane can. It's a very clever design, but not immediately intuitive. Hopefully the part is sturdy enough to do this multiple times without wearing out. Time will tell.

Does the job
I can now use propane canisters with butane stove. By refilling the one lb propane canisters from a 20 lb cylinder I can save big buckazoids.
