Great stuff - sets well and sorts out cracks!
Works exactly as intended - open the tub, use a filling knife and fill the crack. Smooth it over and leave it to dry, or light a small kindling fire to harden it. Cements up and goes rock hard. Colour is sandy, so goes with the vermiculite brick really well, wouldn't even know it was there. Didn't use much but it's a small tub, so hopefully the rest will keep.

Nice to use, stores well too
Really sturdy pot, keeps the cement useable for absolutely ages if you reseal the lid properly. Nice consistency too, easy to work when you're up to your elbow in pipe bend.

Challenging to work with
I've bought lots of this stuff (eight or ten large pots). I'm building a fire pit in the garden so I've used it for the fire bricks to ensure it's up to the temperature.Rather that being like mortar it has the consistency of putty so it's difficult to work with tidily. If you wet your tools it's less likely to stick to them and it does seem to make it less viscous. Then again I'm not a bricklayer so that may be down to me.The other issue is that it dries through evaporation (rather than a chemical reaction which is what cement does) so it can take a long time to dry, especially in lower temperatures and in areas such as between bricks in a circle where these is a segment shaped section of mortar. Effectively, thick sections take a long time to dry, weeks or more. Then there is a curing process that involves gradually increasing the temperature over hours, which may not work with a fire lit in direct contact with it so I may have to do a curing burn with the fire in a metal bowl held away from the surface.

Effective considering how I used it
I bought this back in July 2023, only 10kg for a outdoor fire pit so I applied a pretty thin layer on the inside, it was exposed to rain, people pushing against it aswell as pretty extreme heat and several colonies of ants, lasted about a year which honestly wasn't bad considering the beating it took. Just used 40kg of it more thoroughly this time so I'll give an update on how it holds up. I would recommend adding a splash of water to it before using, as it can be a bit thick to spread around

Very good product
I used this product to cover around the flue of my boiler and it was excellent.

Very thick and difficult to apply
I found it stodgy to use

No star
Completely useless for anything that would not require heating. Even heater could not dry this product

Great stuff!
Used this instead of the tube style I used the previous year! It was much easier and less messy. Filled the gaps around the flue much easier and so far it’s sealed we’ll and stayed in place without any crumbling.
