Smaller, More Articulate, Dynamic Poses, Overall Good Trade-off For The Original Product
Megatron was the first Transformer I owned back in the early 00's. The picurtes you see side by side comparison from the legacy is for collectors and the fun of it. Overall, the new legacy version is very articulate and dynamic in ways you can pose as opposed to the original. The main thing I love and hate about it, are the head scissors. I love that they are removable and much more durable as opposed to the originals hardened plastic. However, the trade of is that you can't have the head scissors open and close around objects as he could do in the show. As you can see, the original had durability issues and I was young and dumb. I will take the trade off of the new legacy version just for durability concerns. More diffrences are clearly the size disparity between the two with the original being roughly 20% larger. It also has firing projectiles (3 in total) and the minicon which the show used to increase the strength and capabilities of the transformer who hade the minicon attached. The new legacy lacks the minicon and the attachment points although you can see the residual locations where they were which I appreciate the attention to detail. Also has no firing projectiles yet once again the way you can pull the main cannon to fire straight ahead as well as the two smaller missile port being able the articulate freely and with more options like rotating 90°. The new legacy also matches the capability to rotate the main gun to the front for a full force frontal assault like the original as well as pulling the main cannon to his side. There is something the new legacy has the original does not and I appreciate greatly is the fact you can detached part of the main cannon and attach it to the left arm giving a call back to the OG G1 Megatron. The original Armada Megatron had a knife hidden that would be revealed when a minicon was attached to the arm and brought forward. The details in the overall new legacy match very well to the original. As for the transformation process itself the original was much more simple and straightforward. While I liked being able to swap back and forth within 10 seconds or so, I actually perfer the more detailed and complex process the new legacy provides. There is one gripe I do have, and that is that the arms are a pain to pull from their ports and requires a strong, thin object to leverage it out to get it started. Overall, this is nostalgia personified and in ways more perfected whilst lacking some of the original gimmicks. My only real gripe is the size disparity, but for all the trade offs, I love this version and it shall stand proud as the representative of my childhood.

Extremely show accurate
Show accurate, simple but fun transformation. Essentially an update to the original toy, exactly what I wanted and expected! Plastic quality feels great and has heft. Horns are rubber/soft plastic so they won’t snap off like the original.

Good updated megatron
I preordered this Megatron. It arrived earlier than expected and in great condition. The original Armada toy was great. It had missiles, minicon, and play value. This version updates it with more articulation and poseability. However the shoulders are a bit annoying. He doesn’t really have any weapons or accessories. Would have been better if this came with his hand blade or minicon.

Great toy
Very good toy not meant for kids under 10 bc the don’t understand the true value of vintage toy.. but lost some peaces for it that’s the only only reason I’m upset

Great Quality
The plastic is very sturdy, the green is less bright than pictured, closer to olive drab. Very fun and intuitive transformation. The head pieces are flexible and while they pop out a bit too easily at times they don’t break.

A representation of my childhood nostalgia
Unlike a lot of Transformers fans, it wasn't the original G1 Transformers cartoon that got me into the franchise, but Transformers Armada instead. I consider Transformers Armada to be one of the biggest representations of my childhood nostalgia. Thus, I ordered this Megatron action figure without hesitation. Admittedly, it isn't quite as awesome as the Megatron action figure from back in Transformers Armada's heyday. Nevertheless, I couldn't be more satisfied with this purchase.

Good for collectors and kids
I'm not the biggest fan of armada megatron but I needed him to go with the armada optimus. Wow, was i impressed. He is so cool looking and the tank mode is great. Very interesting transformation and menacing as a megatron should be. Highly recommend.
