You wouldn't think that someone would get excited about a ladder, right?Maybe i'm an exception, but I don't mind.After trying to open a tall window and falling from a wobbly dining room chair and spraining my arm in the process, I decided that I was very lucky to not be in hospital for a hip replacement, and life is short enough without adding stupidity to the equation.So, a ladder was on the to-do list.There were a lot to choose from and I took my time. I was glad I did because what DJM sells is a great ladder.This is a professional-grade ladder. It is sturdy, it is not wobbly or prone to tipping, the rubber feet are well attached and do not slip.This does not have wire or strap hinges that provide tension to keep the sides together like other ladders commonly seen now -it has proper folding hinges made of sturdy metal. They are robust, well attached to the sides with a good pivot connector in the middle and trustworthy. The hinges are also galvanized which means they won't rust if the ladder is used outdoors or stored in a shed where humidity is to be expected.The sides are fiberglass, making it a first-choice for electricians. I'm no sparky, but the electric meter is twice my height up next to the ceiling (why do builders DO that?) and I need every advantage if I'm ever going to get a Birthday card from whoever is in residence at Buck gaff when the day arrives.As other purchasers have remarked, it does have a wide base when expanded. For myself, that is a positive feature because it means stability. It is also not a light-weight ladder, which also means stability.This was dispatched same day and arrived the day after -so very speedy. I also liked that it was wrapped round with clear stretchy plastic, easy to remove, and allowed the ladder to be quickly inspected before signing for delivery.I'm looking forward to getting the curtains down for a wash, cleaning the kitchen cabinet tops and opening that ridiculously high window safely. After my arm heals, though.

My only regret with this purchase is that I didn't make it ages ago!For years I used a light weight set of Alloy step ladders which wobbled all over the place with me on them.This set is in a different league. Its maximum weight rating is 50% more than the wobbly alloy ones I had, and it is very well made, with reinforcement bars and rivets in all of the right places. I like the way that the rubber feet are securely attached in such a way that they will likely stand the test of time.In conclusion, I am very well impressed with this top quality product.

The ladder was delivered promptly as promised.A great well constructed product but light to carry.A true professional product.Unfortunately for me I ordered an 8 tread ladder which was too big to use in a modern house ( my fault). DJM were brilliant about arranging prompt pick up for a small fee.A delight to deal with a company and product that lived up to expectations

This is a well-made ladder. I have two, one with 8 steps and one with 4 steps. They get used day in, day out and seem designed to be able to take abuse. Both are light for their size, which matters when you erect and take them down 10 times an hour. The steps are deep enough to stand on comfortably for hours on end, right the way up to the top. The rubber feet are solid and thick - haven't managed to wear them out yet

Bought the ladder to repair my motorhome roof after trying alternatives and feeling unsteady. Ladder is really good quality. It is sturdy and I feel safe climbing and standing on the ladder. I have to get used to the weight and height of the ladder when moving it around, it is the compromise for the sturdiness.

Solid and fairly light weight. Very sturdy. I was nearly put off by the ad saying they won’t accept damaged goods unless you refuse to accept delivery. Took a chance. Glad I did.
