Hamilton Beach Handheld Travel Steamer for Clothes, Fabric and Drapes

It’s a nice steamer. Easy as heck to use. I use it for making dreadlock extensions and it’s now an unskippable step. This steamer really gets the job done. I also use it for clothes sometimes if I’m in a hurry. I like it a lot. Good purchase.

So far I've used this steamer once and I love it! I was able to steam 5 t-shirts and still had an inch of water left in the reservoir. Most wrinkles needed only one pass over to disappear. It is light weight and the reservoir is easy to fill. I also love that you have to press a button to release the steam. That's great for when you need to adjust the garment or switch garments. No losing steam in between. Although it is a little bigger than the travel steamer I had before, it is still small enough to travel with. If you are looking for an affordable steamer that is easy to use and gets the job done, this is the one for you.

I bought this in place of the handheld steamer with the handle on the side which was really a pain to use. Let me tell you why I prefer this one. ~ Having the water chamber at the bottom of the unit is brilliant! My previous one was the regular type with the top that you unscrew and add water to. So if you tipped it this way too far or that way too far the water would come spilling out steaming hot. No bueno. With this one you never have to worry about that happening. ~ The water chamber holds more than twice as much as the other handheld steamers out there. So it lasts a lot longer before needing to refill it. ~ The the detachable water chamber makes refills easy, and you also can leave the water in there because it's not sitting on the heating element, so no worries about mineral buildup there. ~ The swivel based cord makes maneuvering the unit so much easier! ~ Last but definitely not least, it's ergonomic handleless shape makes it easy to use for long periods of time. So this handheld steamer is the best one I've ever used, I just love it. And I don't use mine just for steaming out wrinkled items, I use it constantly for steaming and rejuvenating synthetic wigs. You wig wearers will really appreciate this little unit trust me when I say! Forget the rest this is definitely the best!

Not for heavy duty steaming. More suitable for slightly wrinkled items. It heats quickly however. Drawback- the warm water spills over despite being below the line indicated.

You never think of it as one of the major brands, but this is wrong. Everything I have gotten from them, though cheap, has proven to be solid and a workhorse. My food processor is still working great since 2008! This is no exception (though I just got it, so can't speak for longevity yet). After I tried others (the last one, a bestseller, had a tiny water tank, lasted half the time it said, and had no pause button, meaning it kept steaming. Not this one. Simple pause/on switch, large tank, and really strong, night and day in ease of getting rid of wrinkles. Also sturdy design, no danger of tipping. A little heavy when tank is full, but that's up to you. Seems to last for ages--will post again when I empty a tank in one go. Also: use the brush. I read it in the instructions (no other steamer said that) and it's amazing how much easier it is. It really has an impact. Very happy with purchase and price.

Ordered this product about 3 months. I read many reviews that said it spits water and many that said it didn't. Took the chance, worked great at first, eventually though, water spitting everywhere, on the clothes soaking them even, leaking down my hand when in use, on the counter where it sits. Leaving a complete mess to clean up after. It's useless at this point.

I bought this to get the wrinkles out of a new polyester comforter and a new 100% linen shower curtain. Both were very wrinkled due to their packaging. These two very large items would be awkward to handle so I needed a steamer that worked in more than an upright position. I wasn’t sure what would work so I looked at the descriptions and reviews of many handheld steamers and decided on this one. I was amazed at how easy it is to use. Holding it horizontally I was able to safely remove the wrinkles from the polyester comforter. Holding it vertically I was able to effectively release the wrinkles from the very wrinkled linen shower curtain. It is easy to refill with tap water right from the faucet - no special containers for pouring water needed. I’m elderly and have had shoulder surgery so my right shoulder is weaker than normal. I was able to handle this steamer with no problems. Love it!!

Finally, I found it! This is the steamer that actually works to get the deep creases out of curtains. Even the heavy blackout curtains! I have bought, tried and used so many different types and, styles of steamers that claimed to steam curtains, NONE of them did. THIS is the one that does. I used it, it works, easily does the job and I love it. Oh, it also steams too many other items to list too.
