Tastes really good. Has to be soaked overnight and cooked with ration 1 rice with 4 cups water

I like this rice.There is no funny taste or smell to me. The flavor to me is good and I believe it has good nutritional value.

Texture taste and quality.

A product of India and aged 12 months this red rice is hearty, nutty and mildly sweet and is delicious whether used in a main dish or dessert. For preparation I used a fuzzy logic rice cooker on the brown rice setting which also pre-soaks the rice before beginning to cook. The bag I received has instructions for a pressure cooker but it can also be cooked in a pan on a stovetop using generic brown rice directions easily found online—just first pre-soak 6 hours or overnight before cooking. Absolutely delicious rice.

I have a problem with sand in it. There's no warnings of sand passible and I had to stop to cook. Do not buy, I recommend.

I didn't realize that this rice required an overnight soak until it arrived. But then again, I sometimes require a substantial soak after a hard day's work, so I get it. I've never soaked overnight though... Anyway, after the whole soaking process, my family enjoyed musing over the instructions that said to cook it for "four whistles". We brainstormed possible definitions of a "whistle" before Googling it -- was a whistle the amount of time it takes for a train to go by? Was it the amount of time to whistle a certain song? Was it even a unit of time at all? Maybe a whistle is more a state of mind. It turns out a "whistle" is the sound made by a pressure cooker. But since we used a rice cooker, we avoided the whole thing. The rice that we ended up with was far more flavorful than white rice. We enjoyed it with some chicken. I gave it four out of four whistles!

My first time using this variety of rice. I followed the instructions (regarding overnight soaking) on the bag and it worked out well. I like the bag it came in too, well designed.

My bag of rice came with dead insects in it. Just want to warn about this problem. Those insects are hard to see.

Good and original yaanam rice. Cook as per instructions, for a longer time.
