Perfect fishing cable for DIY home renovation
I purchased this to hang 2 flatscreen TV's - needed to fish a few feet of romex and some hdmi cables to mount new AV plates. This works great! I've been able to bend the lead to get around tough curves and corners (takes a little while to get used to). I've found that the wire can be controlled and unravelled easily as needed but also clamped securely. Taping the wire to the tip of the wire is an easy way to minimize snags. Have used this for wiring, tv's and other general renovation around the house. Looks good works great.

Right tool for the job.
I should have bought one of these a long time ago. This was relatively cheap compared to the grief I have been through trying to use tie wire to cheat my way around one. I used this to fish speaker wires through my ceiling. Nothing is perfect but this certainly beats the bailing wire. Also, I bound this thing up a couple of times before I finally read the instructions. I suggest reading before you use it so you don't bind up the spring. It is easy enough to fix but you have to feed the whole thing out and then reel it back in the right way.

Tackled a Tough Run
I found this product to work well and did not give it 5 stars because of the stiffness others mentioned. I believe the stiffness comes from how it is wound up. When you get past the tough points and rewind it it seems much better. In my case I did not find this to be a major problem. I had one last run to make with Cat6 in my house to finish my wiring the whole house. It is hard to explain why it was a difficult run but I will say that I had to run a string from the outside through a soffit vent that happened to be accessible to a hole that was run for my cable down a wall into my kitchen. Once this run was complete it was an easy run across the attic and down a much simpler path to my living room. The length markings were very nice and allowed me to tell when I was in the neighborhood of when I should go inside and look for the tape. The tape did bend a few times but was easily bent back into shape. Attaching the string to the end was straight forward though I did find that the end didn't hold up too well in a tough run through insulation. It did make a very sharp turn at the entry through a two inch deep whole and eventually after many many tries I was able to find it. The difficulty was not the tape really but rather that the hole dropped down dead center between the studs. The opening I was trying to get to was at the extreme left and I was doing this by myself. I am sure everyone out there does this all the time would say to just keep fishing it in way passed the opening because it will bend to one side eventually. This is is exactly what eventually happened to my great joy. Anyways the tape worked fine. The markings were helpful. The tape did bend some but easily repairable. The end could have held up better, again bending issues. All in all I am happy it worked and it provided the solution I needed. For perspective I will probably not need this product again since my poles suffice every where else in my house. The cost of buying this versus having someone come out to do the run was an obvious choice and hence why I purchased it.

Great quality tool. Made an impossible job - very possible. Highly Recommended.
Great tool for little money. I needed to fish two wires about 18 feet above a ceiling and do it cheaply. This was only $18 (warehouse deals) and I didn't expect much. When I got it I thought it was a joke - it is only about 8 inches or so around. I have had them in the past and they are in excess of 15 inches. However I fished it through the two holes - attached the wire and pulled and it worked perfectly. Klein really does still make great tools.

Good quality, affordable price
Very durable, won't kink. Easily winds back into the well constructed sleeve made of thick plastic. I expect this product to last quite a while. EDIT: I've used this now for quite a while. The tape did become tangled internally and would not unwind or retract. Taking apart the unit to fix the issue was simple!

Sort of cheap build quality with the case so donโt expect miracles when pulling tight conduit
The fish tape itself is great. Nice and durable steel. The plastic case however is a different story. They black handle broke on the first use and the tape popped out of the slot and then completely twisted up inside of the roll. I had to unscrew it and rewind it around to fix it. Overall itโs great for the price and works well for minor home projects like pulling cables from the attic but if you have a difficult project I would definitely get one with slightly better build quality.

Amazing for running speaker and electrical wire! Better than a fish rod!
I have been doing a project in my house running wires for some speakers through existing walls. I'm running four overhead speakers and 6 speakers for the surround sound. The walls have insulation, so it has been especially challenging. This fish tape has been fantastic! It has enough rigidity to push it through difficult areas while staying straight, but also enough flexibility to get around corners or other obstacles. I also bought a fish rod to run wires, but I have found that the tape is way better for what I'm using it for. I tried using the rod but eventually just switched to the tape. I have ran many cables with this thing so far with little problem. Some people are complaining about it getting jammed up when retracting/releasing. There have been times where it feels a little tight, but I just followed the directions and I haven't had a problem. I've had it fully unwound and rewound multiple times without an issue.

Snakes are Awesome and I have found lots of uses for it
Works great, strong and a good length. It is hard to roll back up as other reviewers have mentioned however I expected that and I just put up with it. I'm sure there are better out there, but for the price i'm happy with it. Has saved me lots of work trying to fish a cable through the wall, etc.

Well made and extremely easy to use.
Brilliant quality item. Looked at many, many others before choosing this one. Really pleased with the quality and the thickness of the metal tape. The reel itself is not the usual cheap plastic either. I would definitely buy another one if I had to, but this will probably last many years. (If you look after it and don't store it in damp places).

Amazing
I was going to try this and the rigid rods that you screw together. Never got beyond this tape to try the rods - it did everything I needed it to do. Fished through wall cavities up to around 8m, and the thing never weakened. Recommended.

Klein tools, can't go wrong with Klein tools.
Rolls up nice and compact, smaller than another fish I have, even to the fish itself is just as long and wide. Klein quality, at an affordable price, really nothing to complain about.
