Solid bit of kit
It's just an awesome tool. Looks the business too. It lives in the bottom of a kit box and is rarely used but when a job needs it, it gets dusted off and it obliterates the thing that needs obliterated. Also, not going to lie, it looks manly as hell. Which we all know is the main thing.

Purchased as tool I probably didn't need turned into an absolute couldn't have been with out
So I had a project planned and thought the hammers and wreaking bars I had would be sufficient, still I bought the FUBAR II as an extravagance. I had to replace the felt and inspect the wood roof underneath on the summer house built in 2009, on the property we bought in 2011.. I have for the last few years been doing repair jobs on the rather flimsy felt but when we started to get mold inside the building and plasterboard roof was starting to warp action need to be taken. So the August bank holiday was spent with me ripping out 120sqm of rotted OSB, glass fibre insulation... without a battery powered skill/circular saw a wreaking bar and the Fubar II I would never have got the materials of the roof. The Fubar II hammer head was used to get the wreaking bar into position under the OSB... then using the jaws prying it up and also for nails that refused to be pulled... smashing then down. This is now one of my favourite manual tools. For three days we sat on a roof and restored it, without it I would still be up there wondering why I was on my own doing this.` The soft grip handle means you don't get any vibration, the weight of the hammer is good and effective and after been use hard for three days it shows signs of wear it is wearing them like badges of honour. I couldn't recommend this tool highly enough is you have a moderated demolition job, in confined or awkward spaces... sitting on a pitched roof while using this tool I never felt it was going to cause me a problem.

Very handy, if you need it
Used by a novice DIY'er for property renovation. This is my second fubar, the first disappeared when I hired trades on a previous job! Excellent for light weight renovation work. Perfect for smashing apart old kitchen units. Works well for removing tiling, without any finesse. It works well as a heavy duty hammer. Has a claw for removing larger nails and studs (but I'd recommend a claw hammer for most nail removal jobs) and it has a nicely tapered wedge handle to use as a light-weight pry bar. Probably a little too industrial for most domestic DIY projects. It does many jobs adequately, hammer, pry bar, nail claw, cold chisel etc, but it can be unwieldy and doesn't replace any of these items where a dedicated tool is required.

Smashing
I'd bought the larger version of this - which was super smashing. I liked it so much I felt the need to get this smaller bit of kit. You can still do some damage with it though. Solid, quality. Love it.
