Back in January of this year I bought one of these dehumidifiers for use in my basement. I've already gone through 3 or 4 other dehumidifiers that weren't commercial grade. I decided to bite the bullet and spend the extra money for a more heavy duty dehumidifier. For the first 5 months all went well. It was doing a great job as I expected it to. That was over the winter. When the weather got warmer in May - June it started displaying things that didn't seem right. It wouldn't get the humidity down to where I wanted it to be. It was running constantly and there was a frozen strip of ice at the bottom of the cooling coils that wouldn't go away and the unit only removed about a quart of water every two days. I didn't believe that it was functioning properly. I contacted customer service through the Waykar web site and dealt with someone on the other end of the line. They gave me several maneuvers to try and correct the problem. I tried them but they didn't work. After going back and forth through emails for a couple of days without any improvement in the dehumidifier they offered me some options to make good on the situation. I chose one of the options that suited me best and the company sent me a brand new unit. The new one is functioning just as well as I expected the first one too. Now the reservoir is full in about 12 hours and the humidity is exactly at the percentage I've set it to be. The person I dealt with was very polite and seemed very interested in satisfying me and my problem. All things considered I am very satisfied with the way this company handled this incident. So, for now, so far so good. I'll let you know if anything changes.

Pros: this dehumidifier makes water vanish. It will pull water from places you never thought it would. We live in a swamp (almost literally) and I never worry about moisture. We store a lot of keepsakes in the basement, so this is very important to us. No smell or bugs in this basement! We had a pipe break in the wall and it was pretty devastating damage, but this made the water damage control trivial. High quality material, and blows air like a tornado or quiet if you need it. Cons: this has wheels, but barely helps with how heavy this thing is - make sure you have a clear area and help lifting this beast. A bit expensive and for the price I so wish it had a pump. Important update: this did break nearly 2 years later and it was really disheartening, considering there are no errors, it's super clean. We contacted Waykar despite being out of warranty. They allowed us to send the unit back for replacement, that's excellent service.

Nothing much else I can say other than this item exploded in my basement..... running for the first time. Background: My basement is approx. 2600 sq feet unfinished. We use this "unfinished" basement often for my kids baseball and also our makeshift personal gym. Using this in 75% humidify is tough. With the amount of rain we have been receiving this summer, my Basement humidity has been pretty bad lately so decided to invest in a dehumidifier. Package arrived on time, but I did not get to hook it up until I was able to hook up a pump and a drainage line outside. Given the busy schedule, I did it the drainage about 10 days after receiving the dehumidifier. Incident: Hooked up the de-humidifier and it appeared to be working fine. Water filled the condensation pump pretty consistently and the airflow on this was serious. Saw the flow was working fine for an hour, then went upstairs. approximately 5 hours went by. I went back to the basement to check on the humidity levels. To my surprise........I saw smoke and smelled a terrible odor once I opened the door to the basement. The machine was running while it was still emitting smoke and releasing a Chemical being released was extremely hazardous and gross smell. It smelled like a cross over of gas and sulfur. My entire basement was unusable and I needed to put on a mask to try to sort it all out. I opened the bay on the bottom to find one of the components completely fried. Clearly the quality control of these units had not been performed. This lack of qc is dangerous and could have caused much more damage if I was home. I will not be purchasing another unit by this brand.

Bought this three years ago, our basement was moldy and damp. Tried it out first with a hose running to a drain in the floor and within a week or so the basement was bone dry to the point where my eyes hurt due to a lack of humidity. We cleaned up the mold and have never had a repeat of that problem. Eventually I build the dehumidifier a platform to sit on, and plumbed it directly into the wall. It continued to work flawlessly. We do manage it a bit as we don't need it bone dry all the time and we spend time in the basement so we didn't need it to be quite as dry as it got. We adjusted the dehumidifier and it took care of it. It does heat things up a bit which is welcome in the winter, but not as great in the summer. We run a few fans down there anyway and that fixes that problem. All was well until recently when we had an earthquake and the dehumidifier shifted on it's stand. I didn't think about it until I went down to the basement a day later and found a huge pool of water. I don't think I realized just how much water this pulls out of the air. If I had left it run for a few days our basement would have been flooded. Not the fault of the dehumidifier, it's just REALLY good at its job. Contacted the company and they're sending us a part to replaced the broken one. They responded quickly and with instructions on how to disassemble the machine safely so that I could find the part that was broken. Great machine, and good service.

Great machine and it definitely does the job. Only issues I would say is the front grill does start to rust after us just having it for a few months. Not that big of a deal. The other thing is the wheels on this are very cheap. They are very easy to break so you have to be careful when taking the machine or thresholds or small bumps. One of the wheels on ours broke so it is lop sided when we have take it somewhere, and then we put a piece of wood to balance it when it is being used.

I bought this machine and a year later it stopped working. I was worried about contacting Waykar warranty department. I sent a email on a Saturday at 10 o'clock in the evening , Less than a hour later I had a email from Waykar. They were understanding and wanted to correct the problem. I was shocked and very happy. They had me do some easy diagnosis and found out the problem. They ended up sending me a new unit and now another year later the unit is perfect. It is for sure a unit that will remove some water. A touch loud however if you live where water is in your basement you will do or deal with a little noise to save your house. I would buy another. The communication from the company was just what I needed when it died. Buy one you will not be disappointed. 8-15-24 I have needed help from customer service recently and they came through supporting their product with no problem at all. Send an email and the response is within 24 hours. I would buy another Waykar with no hesitation.

This product is fantastic. Our basement got flooded so I needed an immediate solution. I purchased the Waykar DP603b via Amazon, I received it a few days later and wow! In a few days, combined with a few fans, the humidity was back to normal. I would have needed 3 or 4 normal residential dehumidifyers to get close to this unit. Furthermore, I got in touch with their support departmet for some tune up and I received amazing afyter sales service. I truly recommend this unit.

We had a very damp work area. We have been running the Wayker dehumidifier for only 2 days and there is a marked improvement. Set up was super simple, the unit itself is very solid, air circulation is powerful. We are very pleased with our purchase. We had 2 household dehumidifiers running before this purchase & they did not improve the humidity levels at all. This unit is a winner!!

I purchased this unit over one year ago, and it has performed as promised in my crawlspace with a culvert running through it and has worked flawlessly since then. Once you set your desired humidity and temperature settings and figure out where you should put the drain hose in your space for the most effective unit draining, you can walk away and forget about this all-in-one powerhouse of a dehumidifier.
