I have a large, enclosed basement/garage located near the ocean that is subject to high humidity. I previously used a dehumidifier that wasn’t up to the job and frequently froze. I decided to purchase a Waykar 190-pint large commercial dehumidifier rated for spaces up to 8,000 sq. ft. - model CPL190B. I liked the fact that this unit has an auto defrosting feature. It has power-off memory restart which is helpful as I occasionally have power outages. The unit also has a generous five-year warranty. Opening the box, I saw that it was well packed with large, molded pieces of Styrofoam and there were no scratches or damage to the unit. It came with a handle to making it easy to move, but I decided not to use the handle as the unit would remain in one place. The dehumidifier is made of metal and looks durable. I really like the fact that a door opens to access to the filter and large drain tank. I chose not to use the drain tank and instead attached the included drain hose to a condensate pump purchased at Home Depot. The filter is easy to remove and clean. This is an important step that should be done regularly to keep the dehumidifier operating at the highest efficiency. There is a large, bright display that makes it easy to read the settings, temperature and humidity from across the room. Turning on the dehumidifier and adjusting to the desired humidity level was simple. The initial humidity read 60% and I set it to 40% to dry out the space. The reduction in humidity took several hours due to the size of the space, but it was quicker than dehumidifiers I have used in the past. I checked the dehumidifier several days later and it was holding the humidity exactly as I had set it. I’ve only been using dehumidifier for about a week, and I am very satisfied with it.

This dehumidifier was easy to set up and eliminated my humidity issues very quickly. When I had an issue with the unit the support team responded quickly and provided an acceptable solution.

Love the dehumidification this thing can do took my basement all the way down to 40% RH and felt very dry my basement 1400sqf and pulled every bit of water love the easy read touch screen and lcd display and easy function noise is very low dumping water and clean filter is very easy and one door you can for both love the wheels easy to move if needed to and I love the colors of the unit. All the controls are on the front and temp control very easy to up and down some you have to hold buttons in and wait for it to blink this is a very good unit love the onboard water tank as mine is not near a drain and don’t care to run hose’s Amazon delivered this unit and it was well packed foamed inside and nice solid box I was worried Amazon very rough on things but showed up and worked and all you can ask

Nothing much else I can say other than this item exploded in my basement..... running for the first time. Background: My basement is approx. 2600 sq feet unfinished. We use this "unfinished" basement often for my kids baseball and also our makeshift personal gym. Using this in 75% humidify is tough. With the amount of rain we have been receiving this summer, my Basement humidity has been pretty bad lately so decided to invest in a dehumidifier. Package arrived on time, but I did not get to hook it up until I was able to hook up a pump and a drainage line outside. Given the busy schedule, I did it the drainage about 10 days after receiving the dehumidifier. Incident: Hooked up the de-humidifier and it appeared to be working fine. Water filled the condensation pump pretty consistently and the airflow on this was serious. Saw the flow was working fine for an hour, then went upstairs. approximately 5 hours went by. I went back to the basement to check on the humidity levels. To my surprise........I saw smoke and smelled a terrible odor once I opened the door to the basement. The machine was running while it was still emitting smoke and releasing a Chemical being released was extremely hazardous and gross smell. It smelled like a cross over of gas and sulfur. My entire basement was unusable and I needed to put on a mask to try to sort it all out. I opened the bay on the bottom to find one of the components completely fried. Clearly the quality control of these units had not been performed. This lack of qc is dangerous and could have caused much more damage if I was home. I will not be purchasing another unit by this brand.

I first bought 2 smaller units from a different brand and realized I needed something more commercial that can pull in more air since we have mold. I stumbled upon the waykar 155 pint, and even though they are pricey, they’re A LOT cheaper than other expensive brands I was looking at so I thought I’d try it out and was surprised at how fast it worked. We got one for our basement and attached drain hose into our sump and one for the ground level that needs to be emptied once a day. The basement was at 60% RH and it got it down to 40% in a hour or two. Took a bit longer to get to 35% but is now there and staying stable. The ground level one pulls so much water it’s dehumidifying the whole house and staying stable at what it was set to, 40%. It’s a little noisy because it moves so much air but it’s not horrible and for all the work it’s doing I don’t mind. Highly recommend.

I purchased this unit because my basement has been too humid. I already have 2 dehumidifiers running constantly and a heat pump water heater pulling extra moisture from the air. I was having a hard time getting the humidity below 60%. After this unit came in, I let it sit for a day to ensure the refrigerant settled if it was disturbed during shipping. Unpacking was pretty easy as once you cut the straps the box lifts right up. There was a few crushed areas of the box so I was a little concerned there might be damage but the air packs they had inside prevented this. I will say there unit was heavy as the case is metal. It feels well built and solid. I am a little limited where I can run it in my basement as the spec for the unit lists it as 1900W (I will eventually get around to measuring). I had a dedicated I can run it on and not worry about tripping a breaker. My one complaint is that the cord is a bit short and at one corner of the unit. The air intake is in the back of the unit and the exhaust comes out one side so the cord in a corner is harder to position the unit. I have the drain hose (included) go into a condensate pump which dumps the water outside. After setup, I ran the unit on the high fan setting in my basement. It puts out a lot of air. It brought the humidity down from 62% to 45% in roughly 2 hours. This reading was confirmed by a near by dehumidifier. I will say this unit throws out some heat. It has increased the basement temperature a few degrees in the area it is running in, but this is a byproduct of getting the air dry and an acceptable trade off. All in all I am happy with the purchase. I will post an updated at the end of the summer season. Update: Due to colder weather I have shut this down for the season. It performed very well but did increase the temperature in my basement.

This product is fantastic. Our basement got flooded so I needed an immediate solution. I purchased the Waykar DP603b via Amazon, I received it a few days later and wow! In a few days, combined with a few fans, the humidity was back to normal. I would have needed 3 or 4 normal residential dehumidifyers to get close to this unit. Furthermore, I got in touch with their support departmet for some tune up and I received amazing afyter sales service. I truly recommend this unit.

We had a very damp work area. We have been running the Wayker dehumidifier for only 2 days and there is a marked improvement. Set up was super simple, the unit itself is very solid, air circulation is powerful. We are very pleased with our purchase. We had 2 household dehumidifiers running before this purchase & they did not improve the humidity levels at all. This unit is a winner!!

I purchased this unit over one year ago, and it has performed as promised in my crawlspace with a culvert running through it and has worked flawlessly since then. Once you set your desired humidity and temperature settings and figure out where you should put the drain hose in your space for the most effective unit draining, you can walk away and forget about this all-in-one powerhouse of a dehumidifier.
