Good quality cheap food . I add it to Burgess , I have 7 healthy rescue rabbits and they all eat both pellets and clear their bowls when fed.

This is great value for money but unfortunately my rabbit didn’t like it. It smelled nice and the small pellet size would be easy for baby or elderly bunnies to eat. There was far less dust than my usual, much more expensive brand and the vitamin/mineral profile is excellent. The bag I received was already 6 weeks past its expiry date when it arrived but that’s the seller’s fault.

UPDATE: I actually went away from Heygates, after years of use, trying an almost identical looking, alternative, unbranded bulk food for 2 sacks, as the price was better, & after my previous Heygates sack was delivered without notification, tucked out of sight down the side of my house during a storm with flooding, so it solidified where it had been on contact with water, then the rest went mouldy. The first sack seemed fine, the savings buying months worth of rabbit treats, & my buns seemed happy with the food. The second sack was FULL of dust/powder. It had been delivered upside down so I initially thought this was the problem but for every scoop I gave to my boys, 1/3 to 1/2 would be left in their bowl & was just dust. It was just as bad in the middle of the sack as it was at the top of bottom. Returning to Heygates I immediately noticed the nuggets had a greener colour to them, like fresh hay, instead of the beige, sun-bleached hay look of the alternative. Still having some of the alternative I did half & half in the big food bowl & my rabbits went crazy for the Heygates, running to it like I was giving them treats, fighting to get the best position at the bowl & eating it with real enthusiasm; the dusty side of the bowl was left so I relegated all that remained to mix with food I take to feed the swans at a local sanctuary. So, unless there is a SIGNIFICANT saving, stick to tried, tested & rabbit approved Heygates 🙌🏻 My rabbits never get bored of this food the way they do with cereal & some nuggets. Delivery greatly exceeded the given delivery dates, having placed the order late one evening, I'd received it less than 3 days later; I'd glad I didn't pay more with another seller for faster delivery
