is there a way in the software to change the dollar sign to a pound?

you can also use the windows key + space bar to switch the keyboard layout in windows to UK from US (if thats how it is set up for you) and use Shift+3 to input the £ sign. I'm from the UK and had this complaint with my current keyboard as it is a US layout but its a quick work around, once you get use to quick swapping its not that big of a deal. Most the time I use my keyboard in US mode so the symbols on the keycaps reflect the input i am going to make.
