Do No Harm: A skilled surgeon makes the best murderer . . .

Gripping drama
Loved the way this was written, from the standpoint of the three protagonists (all women) more or less in turn. Can't really say much more without spoilers so I will just say that it involves kidnapping, medical drama, blackmail and mobsters. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Great Read
This was such a quick read for me as it was so jam packed full of action and excitement that I could not put it down! This books gave the chills as I read a mother face her worst nightmares and how she coped under the pressure of blackmail and life as a well renowned heart surgeon. There were some parts of the story that for me did feel a little bit unrealistic and maybe a bit too far fetched, however it still made for a great read!I’m not sure if I properly liked any of the characters in this story tbh but they were all doing their best to get by in life with the cards they had been dealt. Anna’s habit was a very strange one for sure and it totally made me feel a bit sick… do people actually do that!?A fast paced, psychological thriller for sure and I am looking forward to reading more from this author!

Very far fetched
I read this book to the end and it became more & more far fetched. The story line became unrealistic & for that reason I don't recommend it. I also found it annoying that the surgeon was referred to as Dr. when the book is set in England where surgeons are known as Mr, Mrs, Miss or Ms as appropriate. They may be known as Dr in the rest of the world but not here.

BOOK REVIEW
Do No Harm is a gripping medical thriller that centers around Dr. Anna Jones, a surgeon who finds herself caught in a harrowing situation when her son is kidnapped. She must kill a patient on the operating table to save her child. This book is full of tension - and I honestly didn’t have a clue what was going to happen next. It was very unpredictable and I found myself unsure of how it was going to go! However, I did find that there were certain aspects that were totally far-fetched and before I knew it the storline was growing arms and legs and just getting very inbeliveable. This is a very emotional read and definitely one to try if you like medical dramas. The book definitely challenges moral boundries is one that would have you pondering what you would do in similar circumstances.

Not to be missed!
I was really looking forward to reading Do No Harm by Jack Jordan. I’m a huge fan of his writing and I think his latest is his best yet. It’s entertaining, utterly gripping and it will keep you invested in the story and the characters from page one. There is a really intriguing premise here. Dr Anna Jones is faced with an impossible task. She is about to perform an operation on a prominent, well liked MP, tipped one day to become Prime Minister. But when her son is kidnapped, she has one choice to make if she ever wants to see her son alive again. For the kidnappers to release him, she must kill her patient, which goes against every fibre of her being. But will she do it to protect her son?You can feel the emotion that Dr Anna Jones is experiencing as she comes to terms with what is happening to her. The choice she must make overwhelms her. I really wanted to know what she was going to do. It kept me turning those pages to see how she was going to respond to the kidnapper’s demands. This will make your heart pound as you’re reading it and Jack Jordan continues to turn the tension up a notch as it comes closer to the moment when Anna must make her decision.Do No Harm really is a rollercoaster of a read. It takes you on a wild ride and it made me think what I would do if I was in Anna’s position. I couldn’t come up with a clear answer to that. It’s what makes this idea so scary as well, especially as we put all of our trust in medical staff when we are in their care. The idea that Jack Jordan explores could potentially happen in the world today. And things go from bad to worse for Anna as she tries to work out what is the best way forward for her and her son.I’m certain that Do No Harm will be a huge hit. It kept me hooked right from the first page and I was desperate to find out what was going to happen to Anna. I really enjoyed it. This is a thriller not to be missed.

Action packed psychological thriller!
I did NOT want to put this book down! I participated in a buddy read with some wonderful ladies and without their support to stay on track, I’d have finished this one in a day!🅂🅈🄽🄾🄿🅂🄸🅂Dr. Anna Jones is a world class heart surgeon. She has dedicated herself to saving lives but can she be forced to intentionally take one? They have her son. They won’t return him unless she kills the man on her operating table. If she doesn’t? They kill her son. A life for a life. She has spent weeks preparing for this surgery and now she has to figure out a way to sabotage it. Her son’s life is worth more to her than her Hippocratic Oath…isn’t it?🅃🄷🄾🅄🄶🄷🅃🅂Y’all, Jack Jordan can WRITE. He kept me on the edge of my seat with the short chapters and multiple points of view. The ending felt a bit rushed but I hope that was to leave the possibility of a prequel or sequel. Maybe both?I highly recommend picking up a copy of this psychological thriller ASAP!

Sit back and enjoy the ride!
Wow. Wow. Wow.🥳Finally a thriller I can give all 5 stars too, without feeling too generous. This was the most ants-in-pants, nail-biting and almost painfully suspenseful thriller, if I’ve ever seen one. I had the fortune to buddy read this with some fab bookstas and our conjectures were all over the place. When you can’t wait to chat about a book, just so you can go back and continue reading it is always a good sign.😉Brilliantly written and researched, with characters you’ll love to hate, angsty scenes that will have your heart pounding in your throat, short and snappy chapters that leave you with a cliffhanger of sorts so you can’t wait to dive into the next chapter, desperate situations where you’re sure there is no way out, this book has everything you could want in a thriller and trust me, it will consume you until the very last page.Anna is a high-profile surgeon facing a difficult divorce while trying to balance her career with being a good mother. Who can’t relate? But that’s where the empathy ends. She also has an obsessive-compulsive stress disorder which causes her to pluck out her eyelashes or hair. When she is assigned to perform routine heart surgery on a local MP, her life begins to unravel. Her 8 year old boy is kidnapped and she is ordered to either kill the patient on the operating table or never see her son again.Need I say more?I can’t say there were any likeable characters in this book, but while it usually bugs me, I actually enjoyed how mean and selfish some of them were. You can’t really side with anyone in this story, but I thought that was quite brilliant. It’s just one of those books you need to jump in blind, sit back with some pop-corn and read like you’re watching ‘Mission Impossible’!😆

Good at first
The operating room scene leading up to the murder was intense. But after that it just felt rushed. Pacing wasn't great, it felt all impossibe and it seems like it was missing something else.It was good and then it wasn't

Great thriller! A must read!!
All you have to do is complete one simple task and you will get him back unharmed…. You just kill Ahmed Shamir in the operating table in two days time….if you fail to kill the patient, your son will die in his place.”Book overview:It follows the story of Anna, a heart doctor that has to kill a high profile patient in order to get her abducted son back. If she doesn’t…bad thing will happen. You will love it if you enjoy:👥 Multiple POVs💊 Medical based books🌪️ Multiple twists and turns⏳ Dual TimelinesMy review:Fun, thrilling and full of great surprises! This was such a wonderful read and an easy 4.5 stars for me and definitely won’t be my last Jack Jordan book.If the book summary doesn’t hook you enough, through the story, we also see multiple POVs on the same timeline which was so unique and fun. This book was medically interesting, had a great plot line and kept my attention. My heart was POUNDING through a couple of scenes. It very much gives me vibes of “The Chain” by Adrian McKinty, so if you loved that one, check this out. I will say there were a few characters that missed the mark for me, but overall this is such a must read in my opinion! I loved it! I feel like anyone that has children would have a hard time being in Anna’s position. What would and wouldn’t we do for our kids? What would YOU do?
