this umbrella base is portable!!! not sure if it is stable in the wind but the ground stakes would help. I may fill the donut with sand to make the weight permanent. it sure doesn't work with the beach umbrella with spiral sand dig. but i found a small umbrella (5.5' radius) with a pointy end that would do (the typical 7' or wider patio umbrella may be too top heavy to topper over when windy). It is easy to deploy and fold up. It takes little space in the car. When there's not shade to be found I can set up my umbrella and mosquito net with this base by my SUV.

Anchor works well,the weight bag is very flimsy,I hadn't even filled it up and it somehow got a hole in it, 0/10 wouldn't recommend using the weight bag it comes with,get something else if you need a weight

Perfect umbrella stand for on the go families who don’t want to use a stake in grass or the sand. We take this with us to football, soccer and baseball games and it’s so easy to assemble, compact enough to not be a burden to get to the fields and easy to move when the sun does. Such a great product and would definitely recommend

This stand was a lifesaver for watching my kids’ sports activities this summer! We used to prop up or try and hold our beach umbrella and I knew there had to be a better way. This stand is it! It held up during some pretty windy days. We even set it up in some raised wooden stands and provided shade for a few parents. One of the better purchases we’ve made in a while!
