Question 1

Any compatible video light and mic recommendations please?

Accepted Answer

The Movo VXR10 mic is inexpensive, very light and can easily be added to most phones (iPhones need a small adapter) if you want an on-gimbal mic. But for interviews, for instance, you might be better off with a Rode Wireless Go or similar. Forget adding a light to the gimbal. It works but lighting is always better if it comes from either side and not face-on when it makes people look ugly, flat and startled! Depending on where you’re shooting, you might get away with existing lighting, moving your subject/yourself into a better lit position. Cheap lights are a waste of money, usually. But even a cheap mush mic is often a big improvement.

Question 2

How big is the tripod in length? Can it be extended? Is there a remote included with this?

Accepted Answer

Short. About 8 inches. But string sturdy and stable. It doesn’t extend. Extending gimbals like dji are mostly rubbish: they only add wobble. If you need extension, get a solid monopod or tripod and put the gimbal on the end. Or use your wide-angle lens. Better still: use the best feature of this gimbal. Put it someone in sight but far enough away to capture what you want and let it track you.

Question 3

Payment Monthly

Accepted Answer

No monthly payment as it connects to your phone via app to control/without

Question 4

Why do I get bad image quality when using the APP to shoot a video?

Accepted Answer

Dear customer,
Please make sure the native camera of your phone supports 4K shooting, then Hohem Joy APP will also support it; besides, you could always adjust the resolution in the APP to get the best image quality for shooting.
Note: Currently the front camera of all phone models does not support 4K shooting.
If you have any further questions, please refer to the Manual for more support and contact details.
