It reduces your steps and frees your hands.
It's easy to use. It's all plastic but seems strong enough. It's pretty accurate as you can see from the pictures. The extension and retraction mechanism is a little bit sticky, but it will probably wear in. The pencil and blade are lined so that you can make a mark with the pencil then cut with the blade. Realizing of course that you would almost never need to make the cut then cut with this tool. You would just cut at length mostly. Still, they work well together. Over all it's a decent tool for the job. Longevity is still to be discovered.

Great idea, very poor application.
Measuring tape is at least 0.25 inch off, if you switch between measuring tapes your drywall will not fit. The handle itself drags, which will prevent you from getting a smooth straight line. The angle of the blade is too low, it doesn't allow you to keep the handle straight and cut down into the drywall. I should have watched the video a little harder, because even in the demonstration he doesn't actually cut anything longer than 2 feet. The edge guide needs to be much larger and longer and the tape itself needs to be much stiffer for this to work with large applications. Probably would work fine for smaller drywall patch jobs.

useful tool
Tape lock very difficult to operate, very high pressure needed, feels like it might break !!!!!|

Meh....
Novel idea but the knife is garbage, there's nothing to help keep your cut straight, and the pencil holder leaves an inconsistent line. It does all the things it set out to do 50% of the time with 50% expected quality.

Great idea, poor execution!
Was excited to use this knife but encountered a couple of issues. First it’s bulky and doesn’t fit In my tool belt easily. Also, when cutting a large sheet of drywall you have to hold the end of the ape and the knife. For instance, I had a 56” piece I needed to cut and had to have an assistant hold the tape end while I cut. Then the blade would not stay locked in. I did a plunge cut and when I pulled the knife out the blade stayed in the drywall. The biggest problem though is it’s too easy not to make a 90degree cut. Not sure I wouldbuy this again.
