Good overview
I appreciated the writer's stance on AI. There were a few good strategies I could use in the classroom, but I definitely need more training. The writer broke AI down into comprehensive sections.

A guide every educator needs!
I am no stranger to author Matt Miller and the Ditch That Textbook line of books. When I first picked up the book Ditch That Textbook I was surprised that it was more than just ditching homework, it was rethinking how we teach! This new book has the same vibe. It is more than learning how to use AI and what AI is, it is rethinking it as a tool to help our students. Matt’s timely, honest, and optimistic guide is just what we all need to get started with AI and get excited on how it can be used in the classroom. I know Matt worked fast to make sure this book was current, however, I think this guide is timeless because we are always going to need tomorrow glasses! Thanks Matt!

Awesome ideas for teachers
I teach at a private school and serve on our AI committee. As a school, we recognize that AI is here and will be our future - better embrace it! This book is a super easy read. I recommended it to my committee, and we have not all read it and love the recommendations for teachers. I highly recommend subscribing to Matt's email newsletter, as well. Lots of great tips and ideas!

What are you looking for?
I have read at least one other book Miller has written and I picked this AI in education among the many that have appeared because I recognized the author. I was mildly disappointed, but no more so than with the other books of this type. I think it is just too early for anyone looking for much depth. The price was right, but unless you know absolutely nothing, you will find very similar content in blogs and on YouTube.

This book provides ideas and strategies that you can use immediately with many of the things that great educators are already doing. I am inspired to move forward in my classroom and guide my students through technology that is sure to be part of their future.

Read about ChatGTP online instead
This book is only useful if you have no idea about AI. If you’ve even read a half decent blog about AI and/or ChatGTP then you’d know as much as the author. Every chapter ends with an advert for the authors website. The website is more about a breakdown of each chapter. I’m glad I got the kindle version rather than paying for the hardback.

Great to educators that are thinking on next steps
As Miller says, it’s not science fiction, AI is here. If we fear AI we won’t help our students to be prepared for a future that will live AI in a regular basis. Miller gives us ideas to rethink assessment and to create essays that can really help us measure student’ learning. The chapter that make us think about how you can ask your student to explain why in creative ways is of great help. There is much more to be said about AI and Education but as a book written in the middle of fear and frenesi of some educators I think Miller is really courageous and helpful to create early resources. A must read for 2023.

Well written and inspirational
It is an easy read but it also makes you think about how AI is transforming education and how we need to adapt but also use it to our advantage. It is full of ideas that can be use tomorrow but that can be used to transform how we teach.
