I bought these because my elderly dog took a couple spills down the stairs and got hurt. I wanted him to have more traction and not be afraid. I chose carpet texture over rubber because you can still slip on rubber and I feel this texture will give my dog a better grip for his feet. I just put these on the stairs tonight so I can’t speak on the durability yet but I will update this review when need be.These treads already have a sticky bottom to them but after reading other reviews I decided to also use double sided carpet tape to help ensure a good stick: my stairs have linoleum on them and I didn’t want to take the chance of these sliding. I recommend anyone to do that because the bottom of these trade are not super sticky on its own. These were very easy to apply and can be cut to size if need be: just make sure you use utility scissors. You should also sweep and scrub your stairs first and make sure they are dry before applying these treads. If you don’t, they will not stick well. It’s not just common sense, it’s a fact.I will say even though I purchased the lighter gray color, these treads are still basically black. That’s a bit annoying because I have several pets and now I’ll have to vacuum them much more frequently. These treads also feel quite thin. I just hope they hold up because they aren’t cheap. I like the pattern design I picked. It’s cute:

We recently invested in beautiful vinyl flooring but much to our chagrin, our dog became very nervous about walking up or down the stairs (especially down). He’s not old & was fine on the previous carpeted steps. We found these & they’re working great! I should have gone with my initial gut feeling & had a carpet strip installed on both staircases but these are a quick & inexpensive ‘fix’ until we can tear up what we’ve done & do it over. Not difficult to install & they stay in place. Vacuum right over them to keep clean. I suppose if one gets stained or damaged you can easily pull it up & simply replace with a new one. Our floors are a light-medium ash-gray & we found the gray color to blend in the best, although we did try the black first.

I got these for painted basement stairs. The fabric is a bit rough but the pattern is nice. Good value. The plastic backing peels off easily and completely with a tab on the corner. They stick down completely, including edges and corners. Took one star off because they are bumped up a bit due to the way they were packed in the box, but weighting them down with heavy books seems to work to get them to stick flat in the middle. Much better function than a more expensive set I ordered for my main staircase.

Was time to replace the cheap tread pas I installed when we moved in. Those were always thin and coarse and had been a nightmare to peel the backing from to install. These are flexible and soft with a tab on the backing which made it very easy to remove and the adhesive is very good. Plus, the daughter thinks the dog theme is cute.

We put these stair carpets on our stair so our dogs wouldn't slip walking up and down a few months ago. They are easy to install and the grip has not come off of them some 4 months later. They are easy to clean with the vacuum and allow our 3 dogs size 2lbs to 100lbs the ability to not slip coming up and down the stairs.

Pets and kids here. I love the look of these, however they don't stick for long. The adhesion is mediocre at best on LVP stair treads. I purchased these 09/22. Some barely stuck at all, some stuck really well.By month 4, about 80% of them are lifting/sliding off of steps which kind of defeats the purpose of them. They trap hair/debris pretty well but when trying to vacuum, most of them lift making the process frustrating. They say they are "washable" but only by hand. The issue with this is if you get the adhesive side wet, they won't stick at all any more but there's no real way to wash these without getting the back wet because they are not waterproof and spills seep through: as will water when washing.By month 8 (currently) I am torn between wasting money buying a new set because they look nice but don't last long; or trying another brand, or using carpet tape which I wanted to avoid using as to not damage my flooring.Ultimately, they are visually appealing but do not function as advertised, nor do they "wash and re-use" as advertised.Last update - Walking down the stairs, one of these slipped right off the step and down the stairs I went. Ended up bruising my tailbone pretty bad. Be careful with these is mobility is something you value 😔

The tread size is perfect, they're thinner than I anticipated (but will serve my purpose), and they barely stick to the indoor steps going from the kitchen to the basement. The steps are wooden and were painted with a commercial-grade flat paint 20 years ago. The paint is still in very good condition (no chipping or flaking) and I cleaned the steps thoroughly before adhering the treads. I was very concerned that the treads would move while going up or down the steps, which could be very dangerous. To avoid returning the treads, I masked-off the area around the treads with painter's tape, then sprayed each step with 3M 77 Multi-purpose Spray Adhesive before carefully applying the treads to the steps. It took a lot more time to install the treads, plus I incurred the added expense of the tape and spray adhesive, not to mention having to deal with the smell of the 3M spray adhesive. But...now the treads are safely and securely fastened to the steps. We just adopted a little Corgi dog from a kill shelter and I installed these treads to make it safe for him to go up and down the wooden steps. Hence the reason I wanted the treads to have the dog paw print pattern, which I like a lot on these particular treads. I hope the merchant reads this and looks into applying a stronger adhesive onto their self-stick treads in the near future.

Quedaron perfectos, lucen mucho, se pegan con facilidad y evitan que te resbale en las escalones. Recomendable

Very pleasantly surprised at the colour and quality of the carpet. Very easy to install and it remains in place.

Es Justo lo de la foto, tienen bonito diseño pero tuvimos que agregar otro pegamento, con el que viene no es suficiente para mantenerse fijo, está acolchonado pero no es muy antiderrapante
