Exide 096 AGM Car Battery 70Ah AGM700 EK700, Large

I bought this to replace the failing battery in my Renault Scenic Xmod, 63 plate 1.5dci. I checked several places with equivalent batteries costing £160-£250. Then I found this one on amazon. I checked the spec of the car and it said AGM battery. However, when I took the old battery out it was an EFB type. (EFBs can be replace with AGMs but not the other way around!) Don't know if it had previously been replaced with the wrong type, which may account for the electronic issues and lack of start stop function. But now, with the new AGM battery installed, the start stop works perfectly and it has resolved several electronic gremlins! Superb value for money.

Very heavy but solid item. Looked up tutorials online to replace battery for my Golf TDI Mk6 2013 which still has its production battery and done 42k miles. It also needed to be AGM for stop start functionality. This particular battery ticked all the boxes and was £97 on prime delivery, when most other shops sold it for £220. The process was a little fiddly because of the safety plate securing the battery with a nut about 20cm deep between the machinery. However once that was removed (and reinstalled later) it was much easier to install the battery. Car started once I turned the engine on, superb.

Autostart batteries aren't cheap and those that are dont always have the guts to keep you going in all weathers through a few winters. This one seems great, easy to fit and plenty of punch. Used in a Clio IV with autostart, which is suddenly working again! Good long guarantee too, although unlikely to need it

Alas I didn't know about BMS resets when I installed this battery and so I cannot say for sure why it started to fail after a couple of years. Therefore I'll still rate it reasonably well and spread the word as it may have been my fault.

Old battery on vehicle, was 10 yrs old, and getting weaker. Winter nearly upon us, old battery failing to start vehicle at certain times. New AGM battery purchased good price, very fast delivery, fitted to vehicle, and instant start with good surge of power every time now. So when the cold weather hits hard, should have no problems with electrics or starting issues. Very pleased, customer.

Replaced an older battery with this upgrade. Was somehow cheaper than the lesser version. Be warned: newer cars may need a particular sequence to be followed when a new battery is fitted as, otherwise, it can cause issues. Please check before you change the battery that your vehicle doesn’t also need this

Purchased this to replace an ageing Exide Battery that was having problems starting my 2L diesel van. Once fitted everything was so much brighter, lights dashboard, even the heater blower seemed faster. The best bit though is not only does the stop start function now work all the time, it also cold starts within 2 seconds of the ignition going on. The only thing I would add is that when selecting this battery the registration checker said it was not suitable for my van, I ordered it anyway as a local garage had told me that this exact model/spec battery, was the best option for my van at well over £100 more.

Die Batterie im Mercedes Benz S 204 (156 PS,1,6l) war jetzt fast 6 Jahre alt und es stellte sich die Frage, ob man die Lebensdauer bis zum Schluss ausreizen soll oder nicht. Meistens geht diese ja im Winter kaputt und dann, wenn man es überhaupt nicht gebrauchen kann. Dann stürmt und schneit es auch noch und wenn man keine Garage hat, dann bleibt nur der Gang zur Werkstatt und es wird wieder richtig teurer (MB ca. 450 Euro). Daher kam das Angebot von Amazon gerade recht. Vorher im Internet geprüft, ob diese zum Fahrzeug passt, Sockelleiste ist B 13. Ich habe die Battierie direkt über Amazon bestellt und nicht über andere Anbieter (mache ich grundsätzlich so). Eine Markenbatterie für ca. 120,- Euro inkl. Batteriepfand, Versand und aller Nebenkosten. Alternativen im Internet bei bekannten Versendern ca. 180,- Euro inkl. aller Nebenkosten. Lieferzeit ca. 4 Werktage, kein Problem, da die alte Batterie ja noch funktionierte. Geliefert wurde das Paket in einem einfachen Karton ohne Beschädigung, DHL sei Dank (Batterie wiegt ca. 20 KG!). Das Produktionsdatum der Batterie war Mai/Juni 2019, also frisch vom Band (Kodierung Oberseite siehe Internet). Ladezustand: Das Ctek Ladegerät hatte nach ca. 30 Minuten 80 % signalisiert, die Batterie war also gut vorgeladen. Einbau in den S 204 habe ich selbst vorgenommen (natürlich bei schönem Wetter): Lüftungskasten entfernen (3 Clipse lösen), Bodenleiste lösen, Batterie etwas zu Seite, Batteriesensoranschluss am Minuspol entfernen (wichtig!), Entlüftungsschlauch lösen, Minuspol lösen, Pluspol lösen, diesen in einen Kunststoffbeuten/Gefrierbeutel stecken (Kurzschluss verhindern, Start/Stopbatterie im Kofferraum ist ja noch angeschlossen), alte Batterie raus, neue rein und alles in umgekehrter Reihenfolge wieder angeschlossen. Fertig. Außer der Uhr musste nichts neu angelernt werden. Das ganze hat ca. 20 Minuten gedauert und mind. 300,- Euro eingespart. Über die Lebensdauer kann ich natürlich noch nichts sagen, würde aber ggf. einen Nachtrag liefern, falls es zu Problemen kommt. Exide liefert auch als Erstausrüster an VW, ist zwar fast nie Testsieger aber immer im vorderen Testfeld zu finden mit einem guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Es muss daher nicht immer ein bekannter "deutscher" Hersteller sein (MB-Original-Batterie war von diesem). Wer noch nicht die Stützbatterie im Kofferraum ausgetauscht hat, sollte dieses gleichzeitig tun, auch hier gibt es hilfreiche Tutorials im Internet zum Selbsteinbau. Alles keine "Raketenwissenschaft" ; )

Acheté pour une skoda octavia III 5E5 DE 2015. Excellente batterie, démarrage parfait par temps froid, compatible avec les véhicules équipés de la fonction start & stop. Il est conseillé de fournir (via valise de diag)à l'ordinateur de bord le modèle exact de la batterie, surtout si l'amperage et les caractéristiques sont différentes de votre ancienne batterie.
