Can I use this valve to reduce the flow rate/pressure into a tap?

Hi, we use it as a strait open or shut valve to drain a motor home fresh water tank but because it’s a rotational action the. Flow can be variable, so I would say the answer is yes.

Does it turn off clockwise ? So stiff I cant move it and dont want to force it.

Can these be used on a rubber cold water pipe?

They could but its not 100% what its designed for

Would this be suitable for between an hot water tank & inlet to shower pump?

I can’t see why not. I have them fitted to my shower and generally have had no problems with JG push fit fixings or plastic piping so far
