High quality versatile cookware
Great griddle! I was hesitant to make this purchase due to the price point. I knew I would use it at least weekly for tortilla restocks, but I hesitated for a long time. It arrived yesterday and I used it today for flour tortillas. It spans two burners, because it’s just the right size, and the entire surface heats evenly, making it possible for me to have three tortillas cooking at once. Since I flip each twice, I start closest to me, flip once to the middle and the second time to the far end to puff up. As soon as I can get the next one rolled out, I am removing last one, flipping other two and adding to the front. Beautiful! Makes tortilla day go quickly and the tortillas come out great. I started my gas stove on medium and turned down to low by the end. Cleanup is a breeze with a little soap and water…and the seasoning stayed just fine! I am already thinking of all the other things I will use this for…it’s like an indoor blackstone!

Exceptional quality and a joy to use
This is a DELIGHT to cook with on a double burner induction cooktop. Make sure to season the metal even though it comes lightly seasoned from the factory. It'll grab your food otherwise on the first use. It is robust and heavy - the handles are extremely sturdy - no bend whatsoever. I ended up putting a silicon barrier on the induction cooktop to protect it from scratches since this feels like it could do that by weight. But the two times I've used it without protection, there was no damage to the glass surface of the range. Granted, I was being careful not to slide it. It retains heat VERY well, yet responds to intentional temperature changes in just a few seconds. I look for reasons to use this. It's enjoyable to cook with. Thick steaks cook perfectly on it. Sear then reduce to medium - easy every time.

Great griddle option for those that only have grills.
Saw this on one of my favorite YouTube cook channels and decided to pick it up because I wanted to make SmashBurgers and I didn't own a griddle. - Very well made, sturdy, and will probably outlast me. Not cast iron, but high carbon steel. I can't imagine denting or bending this thing. - Just big enough to fit on top of the average gas grill. But not big enough to cook lots of food at once. I was able to get 3 burger patties on it at once. If you are cooking for a family of 4 or more, you'll probably want something bigger. - Much like cast iron, not entirely non-stick. Must use with some kind of oil/fat to keep food from sticking. - Was able to use on high heat over a gas grill just fine. - Cleaned-up easily after a very messy, greasy cook. I wiped-off excess grease and oil, then rinsed with mild dish soap and warm water. Immediately placed on burner to heat it up and evaporate any trace of water, and wiped a thin layer of oil on it. - comes with a canvas bag for storage, but doesn't entirely cover it! Handle sticks out the top of the bag. This was expensive, but I think it was a fair value. Quality stuff. I'd recommend it to an individual or a couple, but not for a big family due to its size.

Cheap details and NOT remotely worth the price.
Bottom line up front: It is no where near worth the $170 that Made In asks for, and doesn't resemble the beautiful craftsmanship of their other products. 1. They do not include the necessary handle protectors any longer.....you know, for when the thing is super hot. You can buy them separately though. (No thanks, there are far cheaper options). 2. The edges are sharp (won't cut you or anything) and have a completely unfinished feeling to the. For something in this price range I expect a finished feel. Rounded edges, smooth surfaces.....you know, the things that set it apart? 3. The surface is rough to the touch akin to the cheap cast iron of today that can be found at any grocery store. Certainly not a high end piece of cooking equipment. Find 100 year old carbon steel or cast iron cookware and it's incredibly smooth and almost non-stick without seasoning. 4. Does not fit my standard size oven unless I jam it in there and even then the door stays cracked which is unsafe.......kind of makes it hard to season the cook surface which, given the poor quality, means everything will stick.

JUST PERFECT
I love carbon steel. I have a skillet that I use regularly. I really prefer it to my cast iron because, while heavy, it is’t AS heavy as cast iron. I’ve been looking for something this size to use on my gas grill. While I have a large Blackstone, when its just my husband and me (minus kids and grands) it’s just too big to fire up. We have come to love a good smash burger with grilled Vidalia onions, so I went with this. Perfect size! Conducts heat very well. The edges are turned up to hold in grease and food. I will use this ALOT. Word to the wise. PLEASE read the accompanying card in the box. Although carbon steel is considered pre-seasoned, it really isn’t. Please treat it as you would cast iron. Give a very thin film of high heat oil like Canola. NO OLIVE OIL for seasoning. It won’t create the seal you want because of the lower heat point. I did top and bottom as well as handles. Make sure there is no pooled residual oil. Preheat oven to 450. Put a piece of foil on the rack underneath in case of a drip. Turn it upside down in the oven and wait an hour. Turn off oven and remove when cool. That’s it. If it doesn’t fit in your oven, do it on the grill with the foil directly underneath. As with cast iron, don’t let it soak in water. Don’t use soap. After cleaning, make sure its really really dry and give it a spray of PAM and rub it in lightly and store. Basically, just read the instructions. As to the imperfections mentioned by someone, I had no issue at all with rough edges. I have one set of “stretch marks” but they prepared you for that possibility on the enclosed card. Go for it

No handle covers (updated)
For a piece costing $170 you would think they would include the handle covers. Not a smooth surface, pricey for the quality..... was expecting more. (UPDATE) after leaving my initial review at two stars the good Folks at made in reached out to me and offered me a full refund, which I received. They told me to keep the griddle and use it and if I changed my opinion to update my review so that's what I'm doing. I will stay with my initial review that for $170 they could throw in the handle covers, and the piece is a bit on the Rough Side initially. However after 3 coats of seasoning in the oven with avocado oil at 500 degrees the piece is much smoother and works flawlessly. It accepts seasoning very well and I highly recommend at least a couple seasoning processes before use. I did notice after the second seasoning the surface became much smoother. Also I've seen a few reviews of people saying that it will not fit in the oven. I was not able to set it on an oven rack however I was able to use the oven by removing the oven rack and sliding the griddle into the slots where the oven rack goes. My reasoning for changing my review from two stars to five stars is this 1. The customer service at made in is the best that I've ever seen, I did not reach out to them, they reached out to me after my initial review, which says they care about their product and people's opinion. 2. After a few seasonings in the oven the piece accepted seasoning well and smoothed out nicely. I am satisfied with the outcome and after I put a few coats of seasoning on it, it does not stick whatsoever and I feel like this will be one of my go-to's in the kitchen. After seeing the results of of the seasoning, Im purchasing the 10-in carbon steel pan. I'm sure that I will have to put some seasoning on it as I did the griddle with that being said I have yet to find a carbon steel pan that you don't have to season. seasoning is part of the process and the more you season it the better the pan gets I will be looking forward to using both pieces in the kitchen.

A little too big for a standard stove and oven
This griddle is very high quality. It has all the properties of cast iron, but it is even more indestructible. The problem is that it just slightly the wrong size for the stove. Most of the time I've seen these in use they are used on a flat stove with the controls in the front, and there is no problem with that. Mine, however, has the controls in the back, so the handle of the griddle bumps into the back of the stove, and the front hangs off the edge by just a half inch. Also, I tried to put it in the oven to do the initial seasoning, and while it barely fit when I put it in, it got stuck in the oven after being in their an hour. I'm guessing the steel expanded a bit from the heat. I was able to pull it out with a bit of tugging, but I will not be putting it back in the oven. Just to be clear, my stove and oven aren't super cheap, and they are a standard size. It just seems like a company that prides itself on quality, like Made In, would understand that their product is too big for a normal appliance.

Love it!
Very useful! I use it on my gas stove very often. Easy to cook my pamcakes in the morning and then burgers or steak for dinner. I should have bought the lid too - to reduce spatter on my stove (and now it's not available on Amazon separately).

It works ok
Should of measure the length first, doesn't fit across one burner of Bbq

Fabulous bit of kitchen cooking equipment. Buy it!
Too be honest I tend to write few reviews, time consuming and tedious. However sometimes you have to make an effort. I’m a retired chef of 50 years from the UK. I’ve purchased just about every kitchen toy you could imagine. My thoughts on this item? 1. Second you open the package you know, touch, see, feel you’ve purchased a quality item. 2. It’s heavy, nice, has great heat retention properties. 3. Pretty much….. (not 100%) but pretty much none stick straight out of the package. A few cooks resolves any minor issues. (im being really very picky) 4. Can cook pretty much anything you wish. Stir fry, steaks, fish, eggs, veg, omelettes, potatoes…… you name it, you can pretty much do it. 5. Fits my gas stove top at home perfectly. I can use lower the gas burners as I wish. Get the heat where I want it. 6. Easy to wipe clean. 7. Great cooking size surface area. 8. When you hold it, work with it, quality shines through. You know….. just know this is a one off life time purchase. It will last your whole life. 9. A cover/lid and press available. I already had both within my BBQ kit, I did not purchase these items. 10. Nothing negative to say. Once again, retired chef of 50 years.yes, yes, yes…. It comes at a price, it’s costly there are many cheaper. But this is a classic case of :- “You get what you pay for. Buy once, buy right” Strikes me, even in these early days as pretty much indestructible, kinda thing will be handed down through the family. That’s the kind of life expectancy you can anticipate. It’s carbon steel. Leave it hanging about wet it will rust. This is how carbon steel is, it’s not a fault of the product. Your finished working smear it with tiny bit of cooking oil On paper towel. Tiny amount, just enough to make it shine, takes five seconds. If you do mess up? Leave it outside for two weeks in the rain…. IT WILL RUST! BE AWARE IT WILL RUST. That said? If your a bit practical and own a brain you can easily recondition it, your good to go again, with no ongoing damage problems. Because of cost it’s probably not for every home cook. If you cook, like to cook seriously, cook fresh food (Not packet junk) like to experiment….. go for it. You won’t regret it. Great cooking area, stands high heat, huge flexibility, heavy great heat retention, a one off purchase. PS. Yeah…. It is a bit costly. Get over it, stop “looking” and buy. Promise you won’t regret it.

A griddle you can leave in your will - fantastic.
Fantastic griddle, amazingly nonstick after a few uses. Easy to look after and will last a lifetime. It warped by a millimetre or so and we use a silicone mat to stop it skidding on induction hob. Still worth 5 stars!
