Duetto 2 Dual-Sensor Complete Aquarium Auto Top Off ATO System

I have 6 of these right now and they run perfectly. I run them in both my freshwater planted tanks and reef tanks for years and have never had an issue. I can’t say the same thing for some other brands. Definitely recommend this product for anyone on the fence

This was easy to use. Literally plug in a couple of wires and the hose. Quiet and holds the water level right where I set the sensor

Don’t buy this one. It works great for few days only. We’ve had our fish tank for more than 10 years. Tried this brand the first time and quickly failed, I thought it was just bad luck, you got the one with a defect. Purchased another one, same thing, right after 30-day return window closed it failed. Lesson learned: poor quality, don’t buy it. In the video you can see that water is below sensor, this should send signal to run the pump to add water, this is it happening anymore and you need to press the button every 9 seconds to add some water, do it again and again until the water touch the sensor, otherwise the beep-beep will drive you crazy, then the water evaporates and the beep-beep is back and you need to manually add water again.

I got a Duetto 1 (used) and I accidentally burnt it because of a really bad design flaw. The power from the adapter can be plugged into one of the two identical holes but the wrong one will fry the controller circuit and hence kill the whole thing. However, the ATO worked flawlessly barring that issue. Duetto ATO 2 seems to have addressed this issue and the ATO works as flawlessly as ever. Love this ATO and would never use anything else (I tried a half priced cheap variant but it dumped my entire top off container into my tank. so gonna stick with Duetto).

I'm quite confident in this ato as I've had 2 of them (1st gen) running for over 4 years. I just bought a 3rd for a new 180 gallon build. I have had a pump fail once and had to replace for $25 or so and the sensor has to be cleaned periodically otherwise it can fail to turn the pump on but that is maybe 2 times a year or so. Most important thing is I have never had one fail with the pump on and overflow a sump. It may fail to turn the pump on if the sensor is dirty and crusted with salt but it won't fail to turn off in my experience. If it is running longer than average it will trip the alarm and shut the pump off until it is reset. Like with any optical sensor make sure and clean it if you are leaving home for any length of time but I trust this one as much or more than other name brand high end ato systems for twice the price.

This was a game changer for me. No more fluctuating tank levels. The biggest issue I have is remembering to turn it off before doing water changes.

This little gadget works very well to keep our aquarium full of water. My husband loves it.
