Good product, decent price, don't expect miracles
So far, so good. This review is being written just under four months after I cut pieces of this to the correct size and installed them on my CPU and GPU. I've had dependable and solid though not spectacular results: about 3-4°C reduction in average temperatures. So if you're looking for a good product at a decent price (not a rock-star product, but good), this is for you.

Great option for specific use cases
Bought this to replace a poor application of liquid metal on a laptop. Seems to be doing the trick so far. Temps were significantly better on the CPU even after the first stress test. The GPU saw a little improvement too though it was a lot less dramatic. But again, I have now only cycled the material around 3 or 4 times. So perhaps more improvement will come over time given the nature of this material. The price can be seen as a bit much but I find it reasonable given how much of it you get. To cover both the CPU and GPU (direct die admittedly since its a laptop, so may vary if using for other devices), it only took a small percentage of it. Then also considering the lack of maintenance this material typically needs, it is worth the cost over regular paste in my opinion. Though regular paste may still make more sense given the exact use you have. I still intend to use normal thermal paste for my desktop CPU for instance. The main downside is definitely the application process, which has been mentioned many times. But as long as you go into it knowing what to expect its not too terrible. Just a little annoying and cumbersome to work with. I kept it cool in the fridge right up until the point I went to apply it. Getting one side of the plastic covering off is easy then it will want to break a bit when removing the second part after one side is applied. I was able to coax it off with a toothpick while dealing with only a little breakage. Overall mileage may vary here and its the most annoying part of using this material for sure. But again, just go into it prepared and it wont be as bad. But its certainly not as easy as applying thermal paste. I cant really speak to how it compares to liquid metal. As I only have experience in removing it. And as far as performance this is the only instance where I have a direct comparison between liquid metal and a different material on the same hardware. But this seemed to be a bad application of liquid metal, something Ive seen other complaints about for the specific laptop I have, so its not directly comparable. From what Ive heard though you can expect similar, if slightly worse, peak performance, while also maintaining the lack of need for maintenance. So it seems like a good middle ground. Especially given that liquid metal seems cumbersome to apply too given its risk. So overall I would highly recommend this material, especially given certain applications. It will probably be my go to for laptops that need material replacement in the future.

Genuinely Shocked By The Difference
My two personal laptops are a Dell Precision 7730 i9 and a Dell Latitude 5411 i7. If you've heard of these two models, then you'll know that these things run HOT. Both models usually need new thermal paste after about 6 or so months. Out of curiosity, I did some research to find something with a longer life span in high heat, and found these pads. The installation was the hardest part. Personally, the easiest way to install these is to cut them big, place them into the CPU, and then cut the pad around the CPU with a plastic scraper. I was able to get a perfect fit this way. At first the tempature was about the same, but after following the other reviews saying to run a stress test for 3 hours and let it cool, the temperatures were significantly lower! My benchmarks slightly increased as well, since it was no longer thermal throttling. On a laptop such as a dell precision, that has the cooling capability there, I would absolutely 110% recommend this product. My idle temps went from 65°C to 50°C, which is just mind blowing to me. It didn't even run that cool 8 years ago from the factory. However, on a small laptop like my dell latitude, that simply had undersized cooling from the factory, the difference is definitely less noticeable. It still thermal throttles, just takes longer to get to that point. Regardless, even if you have a laptop like that latitude, i would still recommend this product simply due to the lifespan rating. Having to change the thermal paste every 6 months was a pain and took time out of my day, i'm hoping to get a few years out of these pads.

make sure you got the right seller
Stuff was legit, i thought it may have been a knock off at first. Temps got better as it had more hot cold cycles and now its great. The seller was JoyJom for my order

3080Ti is happy again :D
Let me start off by saying I have no clue if this is real PTM7950 Phase change pads. I Can tell you my 3080ti has gone from overheating, to handling large workloads and gaming again. The thermal pads conduct heat just as well or slightly better then the original new pads. Make sure you chill them first so they are easier to work with as well. Had no problems with it but if you have never worked with thermal pads its definitely an experience. 4/5 Just because Im not fully sure the other tools are the best quality to use for repasting your gpu.

5070 went from 75 and throttling to UNDER 60 at full load!!111!
Building PCs since the late 90s, and this stuff actually amazed me. I got a few months ago, just did my yearly PC dust off/fix/replace/etc routine, so I put this on the CPU and GPU dies, with the CPU having a spreader and the GPU being bare. Following the instructions and putting it in the fridge for ~15 minutes makes it about the same as a normal thermal pad at room temp. It will rip if you try to handle it too much, like any thermal pad. It cuts fine, the plastic on either side peels fine, and the procedure makes it easy to smoosh out bubbles if they occur. I got a couple in the CPU, worked them out easily, and then the GPU application went fine. I was pretty surprised at how much difference it made on the CPU, which is an i5 and has a heatspreader, but there is a definite reduction to idle and more so to loaded temps. The GPU on the other hand, is jaw dropping. The room is temp controlled to 70° F Previous CPU = ~32° idle, ~60° load Now CPU = ~28° idle, ~50° load Previous GPU = ~35° idle, hit 75° and throttled to stay at 71° under load, dropping 10-15 FPS average Now GPU = 29° idle, and didn't break 57° under full load. Thats not a typo and I am not making it up lol. My 5070 went from 70°+ and throttling to not hitting 60° under the same load.

The real deal
People keep spending a lot of money for branded PTM7950, but this is the real deal and for half the price. Temps dropped from 2 to 6 degrees C and they keep getting better as the pads accumulates heat cycles. The GPU was cool to begin with but still got better temps, and the CPU went from sustained 3.9ghz to 4.3Ghz, and with better temps at that. The thing with PTM7950 is that you need to cycle it to get better results: run a 30 min benchmark, use the PC normally, and turn it off when not using it at least for the first few days. After 3 or 4 days, the compound will get better it gets hot and cools down. Also, don't play in hard mode: use tweezers to remove the plastic layer, put the pad where it belongs, press against the die to make sure it's making contact with the whole surface, and once it sticks it's really simple to remove the top plastic part with the same tweezers. Easy.

Apply it right, burn it in.
I have been using ptm7950 for a long time now and there's a few things that you need to know. First off, this material is best used on a bare die head. It's really not for anything that's uses an IHS. It's best used for direct contact. It's best used for laptops, consoles, GPUs, and delided CPUs. The process is simple. Measure the die that it's going on. Make it a little bit bigger than what you measured. Cut it. Use tweezers to peel the back wrap off. Gently apply it to the die head. Use the included spatula to smoothen it out. Let it sit for a minute to start binding. From there, grab some tweezers and peel the top wrap off then take a knife or tool and trim the sides. Remove the excess. From there apply your cooler as per usual. When you boot you are going to have pretty rough temps. You are going to look at it and think it sucks. This is NORMAL. You need to remember that this starts off as a .25 mm pad. Typical paste flattens out to the thickness of a sheet of paper rather quickly. As TPM heats up it becomes liquid a little and as it does that there's less resistance between the die head and the cooler. As you heat ptm and cool it down the material starts to squeeze down under the pressure of the cooling assembly. For example. When applying it to my Dell G15 running a 3050ti laptop GPU it started off at 96 under max load. I ran marvel rivals for 3 hours then let it cool. The following day I came back, ran marvel rivals again for 3 hours and the max temp dropped to 83. I let it cool and the following day I came back again and ran another 3 hours and I received the results of 76 under 94 percent load. As you run it through its paces it will become more and more thin and it will perform better and better. This material is not for casual computing. The harder you work the machine the more it will become a liquid and the thinner it will become. It starts liquidating at around 56C. This material works as hard as your machine does. It's built to be ran through its paces. Take your time, apply it right, and burn it in. Let it do it's job. Not a businessman, gamer, graphic designer, or a video producer? Then this is most likely not for you. It's a very durable material that's built to go the distance. It can and WILL outlive the machine you are using it on and it does get better with time. If you want to speed up the process just apply it, run a few hours of stress testing, give it 2 hours to cool and let the cooler squeeze it down. Stress test it again. Rinse, dry, and repeat for a day or 2. When I started off my temps were 96 under load. After I finished it was sitting at 71 with the GPU maxed out.

Item not as described
Was not 80mm x 80mm piece. It was a used piece with rectangular pieces cut out.

great price. medium difficulty to apply(taking off bothsides wrapping)
great product. does drop temps by 10degrees on gpu and cpu. always best to put it in the fridge for a couple of minutes to make it easier to cut and apply. way more efficient than thermal paste. just wish sizing was abit better

Highly recommended
I used it after using liquid metal. At first I thought it is bad because the temps were very high... But the longer stressed the processor, the better the temps became... After one week, it became as good as liquidation metal with the exception of being more safer to apply....
