The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The beloved characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class, in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future. X-Men: Days of Future Past was an amazing addition to the series. I absolutely loved it. The movie sees the return of Bryan Singer in the director's chair which was what the franchise needed as Singer has directed the first 2 X-Men films already. This film combines the cast of the Original X-Men Trilogy and some of the cast from X-Men: First Class which is great and the casts blend really well together. The plot is great, it is a little risky as it introduces time travel, however you kind of roll with it because they don't really spend any time delving into the complexities of it which is good. The movie is excellently paced there is never a dull moment. I like the fact its set in the 70's. The cast are fantastic, James McAvoy plays a different sort of Xavier, he is at his lowest low, he is a broken man. Michael Fassbender is still perfect as Magneto as is Ian McKellan, Hugh Jackman still rocks it as Wolverine and Patrick Stewart is good too. Nicholas Hoult as Beast is good too, there are a lot of mutants thrown in there for the sake of it but a shout out goes to Jennifer Lawrence for Mystique, the plot kind of revolves around her, we see much more of a colder side to her which i loved and it all leads to her making a choice. The visual effects are amazing, the most visually stunning X-Men film, its managed to top The Wolverine which was visually amazing given it was set in Japan. Peter Dinklage is a great villain as Traask. The action is amazing, my favorite probably being the climax of the movie when they are fighting the older Sentinals, the opening fight sequence is awesome too. Bryan Singer's direction is great, he manages to tackle the big epic scope very well and he tells the story fluently and coherently. The music by John Ottman is amazing, the new theme is excellent its a new rendition of the X2 theme which is great. The 2 Xavier's scene is great and the emotional core of the movie because it deals with many themes such as hope. This film is fantastic and the best film of the X-Men franchise yet. I am looking forward to the Extended Cut.:) 10/10 Superb film definitely a must see if you're a fan of X-Men. Review: Good - Good film

What the X-men franchise it truly capable of!
this along with First class shows what the x-men films are capable of. the cast of the X-men films have never been bad, but the plot used before have ruined it for me as characters are killed that are not suppose to (spoiler alert) this films thankfully undoes all of this and repairs the x-men universe. the plot is based on one of the original X-men comics and I think one of the best. The films cast are brilliant making young Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Prof X (James McAvoy) meet Magneto (Ian Mckellen) and Prof X (Patrick Stewart) senior. The acting by both of them is brilliant as well as other cast members, Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Peter Dinklage and Nicholas Hoult. the effects are very good, and are necessary for the film to work, as it would do no good for wolverine to be missing his claws. if you are planing on watching this film wait until the end of the credits as this will show you the short clip, which will lay the foundations for X-men apocalypse, set to be released (2016).

Another good X-Men film
We're big fans of X-Men and Marvels in general so adding this to the collection made sense. I have to admit that I didn't enjoy this as much as the previous films. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the time travel aspect that's been done so often before. It's still an enjoyable film though so if you like them then buy it. If you're a fan you shouldn't be disappointed.

Not much better than a Dvd
Film very enjoyable, but as a blu Ray film , nothing much to write home about . I feel kinda let down by the shimmering in light areas and sound quality .Not much better than a Dvd . I use a Yamaha RX V-671 appropriate cables , Kef speakers etc .I have many films blu Ray and DVDs , maybe they're just run of the mill quality . . now ?

I love all the X-Men films
I love all the X-Men films, even if some of the stories didn't quite match the comics, but it was nice to see the Sentinels and I think they coped with the change between the past and the future very well considering it's not an easy thing to undertake; especially as we don't have time travel, now wouldn't that be interesting!

Bra film till ett bra pris!
Alla i vår familj gillar X-Men filmerna. Och vi saknade denna film i samlingen. Bra och billig Blu-Ray utgåva.
