Excellent stand.
Very high quality stand for the price. The metal frame is great quality and solid when set up on the a desk. Well finished with no sharp edges and takes the weight of the mic without sagging.Much easier to set up when and wherever you need it. Really pleased with the product.

Feels a bit cheap but does the job
This stand comes with a pop screen and a foam microphone shield as well as a few velcro cable ties. Also included is a microphone holder and an adapter for the large screw thread based microphones like my Blue Yeti. It doesn't have a shock mount so care will be needed to not knock the stand when in use. The base clamp seems to be made of metal covered in plastic and holds well enough.I am taking off a star because I was a bit disappointed by the quality of the materials. The pressed and folded steel and plastic construction is adequate but it feels quite cheap, especially where you tighten up the screws to hold the arm in place. It will do the job but I am concerned about longevity. For the money I suppose this is a decent enough product for the occasional or light user. It comes with pretty much everything you need but if you are looking for a longer lasting product then in my mind I would consider paying a few more pounds.

Good arm
This arm is pretty good. It mounts well to the desk via a clamp, the fixture of the clam to arm feels a bit weak though however it seems to hold the weight of the mic well.

Terrible before the spring modification. Great afterwards.
The media could not be loaded. The video goes into much more detail, including my first impressions and a guide on how to (or perhaps how not to) set it up and whether or not it is effective. However, in a nutshell:Things I liked:+ Fits all of my streaming mics thanks to 3/8" and 5/8" mounts and adapters.+ Once I removed the springs, it became quite flexible and easy to position.Things I didn't like:- The springs! They made manipulating the position of the mic so difficult. I can't believe what a difference removing them made.- Hand-held mic holder is very basic.Do I recommend it?Yes. It's a great basic mic arm. If you already have a mic arm, this won't be an improvement on it - this just covers the basics. But for £17, it's great value and has made quite a big difference to the audio quality of my recordings compared to the desk stand the mic used to be mounted to.But if you do get this, please, please try removing the springs before you give up on it. Before I removed them, I was absolutely fighting against them any time I repositioned the arm. They were forcing the arm back into one useless position. After removing them, I can have the arm any way I want it.

Great value starter set...
Wasn't expecting too much from this Amazon Basics Microphone Arm Stand given the price but it's actually a solidly made and very well finished stand with a useful set of basic accessories. The stand is full-sized with a good reach and springs strong enough to hold its position. They're quite tightly set so without the weight of a decent microphone in the supplied holder the top section of the stand will spring up, even when tightly locked it will creep up. The main metal parts of the stand all have a matte black paint finish which looks good and seems quite tough. It can make a bit of a creaking sound as you adjust it, from experience this only gets worse with age, so you'll want to avoid doing that while you're on-air, but it's workable. The desk clamp can cope with most thickness of desk but it won't deal with very thick desktops or be able to fasten past any kind of support bar or bevel running under the desktop because the lower part of the clamp lines up with the edge of the desk. Beware the tightening bar which you use to screw the clamp onto your desk because it sticks out one way or the other and if you nudge it causes the whole stand to resonate with a loud echoing 'spring' sound which your listeners might not appreciate. The included pop filter is really welcome and clamps onto the frame easily enough and has a lot of adjustability and is fairly effective. You also get an adapter for the mic mount, a basic mic windshield and half a dozen hook-and-loop cable ties, all of which could be really handy. For the price it's a really decent set and certainly good enough for starting out on your podcast or online video career while also being affordable enough for home use with online gaming or video-chatting.

Even bigger than I expected
A nice decently sized mic stand, turned out to be even bigger than I expected. Thankfully I was able to adjust it so its arms do fit next to the wall my desk is at. I really liked that they included a pop filter and a mic cover as well. Seems sturdy enough but I have mine set up next to a wall so I'd be surprised if it collapsed / fell off.

Very strong spring. Wind blockers work well
I got this with the intention of fitting it to my office desk to help with some videos. Unfortunately, not exactly a problem with this unit, but the C-Clamp provided is too small to fit over the frame of my desk, so this will require a bit of re-thinking.Having clamped the microphone frame to the front of my desk instead, the springs in it are actually quite strong. Pulling the microphone forwards and down, I am having to tighten up the knobs on the hinges quite hard to stop the arm going back to the position it wants to be in. This could be because my microphone is too light, but ultimately this is the reason why I am not giving it 5 stars. The clamp on to the desk works well, and the kit comes with a microphone holder, or and adapter if you already have a threaded (but larger) microphone holder. The windbreakers work well, although they visually (from the meter) appear to reduce the volume overall, it wasn't noticeable on the recording.
