Awesome Soil
Awesome soil, really retains moisture and my plants love it. Great quality, low dust and covers a lot of ground.

Way better than bricks!
When I saw this I knew I had to try this. Expensive but worth it! So much easier than bricks. Use it just like you would any soil additive. I am new to coir but I like it so far. Holds a lot of moisture and mixes well.

Product is Chunky
I purchased this to add organic matter to a small flowerbed with minimal changes to NPK. My phosphorus levels are too high. One of the reasons I chose this more expensive product over blocked coir is because the description said "loose". I poured it onto the bed planning to work it directly in, and there were lots of big chunks. I spent half an hour trying to break them up with a garden rake and now I have a lot of small chunks that still need breaking down before I can work them in. People should be warned this needs screening to use in a garden bed.

Uncompressed Coir
Nothing wrong with this coir, but it was labeled as Char Coir, and I had thought that it had biochar mixed in. It is just regular coco coir that is not compressed into a brick. Works great for mixing your own seed or potting mix.

Ready-to-use; expensive, but great quality coir
This is my first pure-coir product that didn't arrive in dried bricks. (I haven't loved most of the bricks I've tried, as the coir always seemed wispy and unsubstantial once hydrated, but I'm sure there are good ones on the market.) As soon as I opened this bag I was relieved to feel the rich texture of the red strands -- with the perfect moisture level for planting. I up-potted my crop using 1/3 of this, 1/3 perlite, and 1/3 homemade compost (plus some miscellaneous amendments), and my plants were immediately happy, signaling no pH issues or other problems. With peat on the way out, finding a basic substrate has become a challenge. This fits the bill, except the current $50 price tag for 26 pounds is unsustainable for average gardeners who just need a lot of bulk. This product, made in India, convinces me coir is feasible -- I just really want the price to come way down.

Nice quality
The coco coir quality seems very nice in person. It was very easy to use: simply take out the coco coir, add water, wait for the moisture to soak in, and then use it like a normal soil mixture! The moisture retention is pretty good. It weighs a lot, so it would be nice to have a condensed version for easier transportation, in my opinion. Overall, it's definitely good value for the size and versatility. I would recommend this. I can't wait to use it to repot my houseplants in the spring. It makes nice soil mixture :)

Perfect for hydroponics
I use this in many of our hydroponic set ups. There is a lot in this package and it goes a long way, especially when mixed with other media. Highly recommended.

This is a large bag of good-looking, heavily shredded coco coir.
In the past year or so, I've become a fan of coco coir - partly because I like the fact that it's a byproduct from another industry and also because it is not acidic like peat moss. This Coco coir looks to be very nice and finely-shredded which should be especially good for making my seed-starting mix along with perlite and my homemade compost. Whether or not this slightly-moisturized coco coir is as economical as the dried blocks I've bought in the past, I'm honestly not sure and I won't actually be using it t for at least a few months when spring arrives, at which time I plan to use it in one of my new raised wooden garden beds.
