Can you smoke cigarettes with this insect repellent on as it says flammable? I mean obviously not whilst using the spray but after?

I would say you can use it afterwards but just o be extra careful as it is quite corrosive. I had shellac nails whilst I was on holiday and this melted the varnish off a few fingers!

Does it helps to repel the ticks from the skin?

Good Morning, Unfortunately these do not specifically target ticks but would still act as a repellent. There is a Trek specifically for ticks if this is what you are more concerned about. Kindest Regards, Transatlantic Trading Company.

Should I be worried that the expiry date has been left blank on my bottle which arrived today?

Thank you for your question. If you have received a TREK product, then these have only been available from early 2016. The product will last 3 years from the manufacturing date and therefore this will be fine.
