Love it!!!!
I donโt often write reviews (due to being very busy and important obviously!) but I was really saddened to read the reviews of Tomโs new book. There are so many fabulous recipes in this book. They arnt โcheffyโ. At all. They are good honest recipes with ingredients that are full of flavour. I have a lot of cookery books in my slightly too large collection (452 to be precise - and yes I really did count them) and this is definitely going to be one of my most used books. I think itโs brilliant. So donโt be put off by negative reviews. This is 100% a book worth having if you love cooking and eating big bold flavours. Go Mr K! You have made my week!! ๐

Itโs a book for cooks
At first pass through the book I was left feeling this is not pub grub. On taking my time it struck me this really was gastro pub grub at a high level. Spoons it is not! What does this mean? Well itโs not for someone who wants a quick bite or someone who is not a confident cook. The recipes are relatively complex and can be ingredient rich, but with that will come a depth of taste and a satisfying meal. Anyone who likes cooking and is happy to spend time in the kitchen should be well rewarded with these recipes. Many of these recipes are new tastes to me and it will be interesting to cook them. Grab a glass of wine, put some tunes on and give this a try. Your tastebuds will be rewarded.

Best book Iโve seen for a long time
I have got over 100 cookbooks, including all of TKโs. This book is like a menu containing anything and everything that you would want to eat, in a pub or anywhere else for that matter and they are all completely achievable at home. The photography that accompanies each recipe is stunning. I have made the fried chicken burger with blue cheese mayonnaise and the chocolate and raspberry brownies already. The recipes in here will be the best versions that youโll make without needing an endless list of ingredients. Itโs a 2 star chef cooking the best pub food ever, itโs like Pep managing your kids Sunday league side!

Great book.
I like Tom Kerridges books as they're easy to follow have good recipes with step by step guides on ingredients and how to put the dishes together. Simples! There's good photography too. So what's not to like.

Great book for hearty food
I love this book. It has some fantastic recipes that donโt need too much faffing about. Plenty of proper hearty recipes and exactly what youโd get in a pub.

Not your average pub
This book is beautifully presented and the recipes sound delicious. However, some of the dishes like โlobster pieโ or โroasted carrots with whipped goatโs cheeseโ feel more refined than what Iโd typically expect from average โpub grub.โ While they look great, they donโt quite match the more traditional pub food I had in mind.

Love it
Seriously, this guy's recipes are always on point. I've made a bunch of them already, and they've all been winners. Never had a single complaint from anyone who's tried them either. He's definitely my go-to for new cooking ideas. Keep 'em coming!

It's a must, if you like food
Excellent cook book. So much inspiration. Some of the sauces are incredible - Marsala and sage sauce, Caper butter sauce, Brandy mushroom sauce, Caesar dressing are my favourites. And the recipes for roast pork belly and also the beef cheek ragu is amazing as well. Highly recommended for a home cook that loves his food. Do the whole recipe or just do some parts of it, and replace the poussin with roast chicken breast or thighs.
