I mainly want to use it for pancakes, is this recommended?

only just bought mine and only used for steaks and toasties so far, but i would say if you are only going to use for waffles you could buy something cheaper than this it is quite expensive but i would say it is good quality

How does it work? Can anybody tell me about the experience of cooking with this?

I once used it to make barbecue, cooked through in no time. The cucumbers are also well roasted, crispy and delicious. Worth the money.

How good is the drip tray? I'm looking for something that can contain a lot and is easy to dispose of.

Capacity around 120 ml, to dispose of, just slide the tray out easy to do. It was far far enough to make 4 beef burgers
