Good protection.
I'm 5'10", 160 lbs, 40" chest, 32" waist with a lean build. The medium fits good/snug. I tried a large and could have worn that, but I think the pads would have moved around a bit. I can wear it next to skin when it's hot or with a thin under layer when it's cooler. The arms are a good length, but it's a little short in the waist - it's ok, but I can't tuck it in to my pants. The armor is CE level 1. It's the hard, thick, not flexible stuff. You are going to feel it on you like a suit of armor - at first. The armor is positioned right and has enough soft padding under it that after riding for a bit, I forget it's there. I also tried the Fox Racing Titan Sport armor and found Alpinestars to be more comfortable and less bulky feeling. My only real small complaint is the lack of adjustability. The straps around your sides adjust fine. The straps that connect the chest plate to the shoulder plate and to the back have no adjustability. They are elastic and can be removed from the back and front, but are sewn onto the shoulders and have no way to adjust length. I got this for dual sport riding. I'm very happy with it and would buy it again.

Well worth the money
Alpinestar is pricy but the functionality, material & stitch quality is excellent. It's for motocross but I wear it on street bike rides as it ventilates air much better jackets in hot weather. It's also less bulky then padded jackets.

Great warm weather protection
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Alpinestars offers a quality, durable, reputable name to a product. Comfort: very comfortable, mesh breathes great, padding moves when its supposed to and stays put when its not. Fit: buy one size larger than you think you need, I am an Medium, bought a large and fits perfectly. it is supposed to be tight and form fitting. Quality: Alpinestars never compromises quality.

Definitely size up 👍
Definitely size up. By the sizing chart I should have bought the large. Glad I listened to the reviews to size up. I bought the XL and it fits snug. Don't think I could have gotten in the large size. I'm 6'1" and 170lb. No adjustment of the shoulder pads : ( But they should work for me. A little higher on the shoulder would be better. The elbow and forearm has some adjustability with Velcro/ elastic bands. Nice jacket overall. I'm using it for riding my Onewheel board. Chose the V2 because of the hard plastic armor. It should slide on the pavement better when I go down. I'm more concerned with road rash than impact. If MX racing I'd probably go with the soft impact padding V2plus or V3

You Can Tell Price to Quality
230 6'2 xxl was a little tight but i bought one of the 60 dollars ones first (offbrand) and its worlds apart the differences. It fits great seems well made. Now i haven't rode with it on yet so i may have to do an update. I can say the price is worth the quality. Dont mess with anything less then these ones. The cheapo's are 10x different from this. hope this helps because its hard when your shopping for protection.

Safety is important on a bike.
It's a bit unusual, it feels weird, like I'm naked. The plastic is hard and rigid, it barely bends. The fabric is stretchy and thin, not hot. For some reason, the seams are on the outside. I'm 1m80cm / 5'10 and under 100kg / 220lbs. My regular size XL, but i took XXL, because there were a lot of reviews saying that they were smaller. I haven’t ridden in it yet, but I’m sure it will be comfortable in the summer. I'll add a review later after a detailed test.

Runs small, order a size larger than what you normally get.
Overall fit is good, definitely feels like it will provide good protection while still being lightweight. Definitely order one size bigger though because it runs on the smaller side.

Worth the money?
For this much money? Do I feel safer? Not exactly. I am 147, 5"6 and fit. They sent me a kids 1st time around then 2nd order got the right size witch its a medium. It fits snug as it should but I also have a pull over on made with good material adidas, thats on then the gear. I want to be able to take it off anytime. Its hard to hold my arms up to use my phone for more then 5 minutes at a time its a hard plastic I was expecting the hard / firm bendable material. A bit hard to take a drink of your water because it's hard plastic. And doesn't bend in the elbows, even when you make sure its where it should be, it's still tough, so it's definitely made for a riding only if you're gonna hang out with other bikers, probably best to take it off, worth the money? Not sure but I'm sure it saves a good fair bit of my skin if I did ever fall

Phenomenal product
I feel very safe in this. It is made extremely well. I'm able to ride and not get too hot due to the beautiful mesh that lets you breathe. The protection level is phenomenal. This is worth every penny. I wish there was something like this for your lower body. I have their kneepads, but I don't feel protected around my hip and bum.

Very small
This jacket is very small. Also if you want to return the item be aware that you have to pay for the shipping which is very poor shipment handling I would just don’t buy from this seller there are more sellers that you won’t have to pay for the shipment

Solid
Another review said size up so I did. Very happy, elbows were a little sore from the pressure of the pads but I loosened them and it went away. Looks great with a high collar hoodie/jacket underneath, haven’t crashed yet but I’ll leave another review when I do
